Couldn't agree moreRegardless of whether City slip up or not, he's been found out in the run in. He completely lost the plot in the last two matches. In fact you can throw in the Norwich game too. Pressure needs a cool head and he thinks just saying "we go with Plan A+" is a response to in-game changes. He's been getting plaudits all season and I've argued on here he doesn't deserve them. He's rode on the coat-tails of a system that suits Gerrard's game (and is probably imposed by Gerrard) and the fact that until recently the rest of the PL refused to learn the lesson of their largely agricultural play, preferring instead to look on and fear the finishing of Suarez/Sturridge.
If they finish second it'll be the beginning of the end for Rodgers.
7th to 2nd is pretty good.
Rodgers has done exactly what Martinez has done. They've both got their clubs something neither has seen for a few years and what most people would consider a successs, cl for them, europa for us. But in both cases they were challenging for an even greater prize which they had no right to be going for, the league for them, the cl for us and then threw it away at the end.
So the prize they have won looks worse in comparison but it's still quite good, in the end.
Yes Rodgers had had more money and more time than Martinez but the bottom line is 8th to 2nd in two seasons. You can't really knock that.
OR he's won nothing in two seasons. This, by the way, is one trophy less than Martinez.
Correct.
A no mark who will hopefully remain a no mark at the end of the season.
But when you have a defence that is as fragile as theirs and a muppet at the helm stalling and dithering with tactics when his team have needed a change, its only a matter of time before you get found out and luck throws you a spinner......still got 3 goals last night, which should be sufficient to win any game.

From one of his first press conferences and the system and style he was pretty much adamant they were going to adopt, to what it is now, is complete night and day.
You need a plan B and even a plan C to succeed and wonderfully, this fella and his team don't have it. The keegan approach of ' we'll just score more than you ' will only get you so far along that road before a wheel falls off. I believe their defensive record is the worst for 15 years. Who was in charge back then, was it Souness ? lol......... They have very clearly relied on the finishing of those two up top.
.....still got 3 goals last night, which should be sufficient to win any game.
Remember that this is the same man who feigns mortal injury at least once every game - but never actually gets injured. He never worries about covering his face then.
30 seconds before the final whistle he had a sarcastic smile on his face as if to say 'I was ill today but still ran myself to the ground for THIS USELESS LOT'.
Who knows what was really going on under the shirt.
one thing i have noticed in the last 2 games though is sterling has been nullified, people are starting to click on how to play him now
...I think this might be the case with the reds approach in general next season. They play back to front very quickly. I noted a while ago on here that Gerrard is like a quarterback, launching passes from deep directly to dangerous forwards who play on the shoulder of defenders and can create from one-on-one situations. I suggested it could be worth putting somebody on Gerrard to nullify the threat and Pullis clearly tried this yesterday with Chammack but came unstuck because they had no out ball themselves. I suspect the reds will need a plan B next season.
Biggest problem i see mate is defensively their screwed as they try sit Gerrard back their and frankly he is useless as cover for the back four, noticable that when the pressure went on in their last two he went into stevie meee mode again trying to single handedly win the game against chelsea and leaving them horribly exposed at the back and just left in no mans land against palace
and as is painfully obvious they won't be able to replace him for a good few years so the situation is only gonna be exposed more and more
