I pray to god we never have to see the worst of him. We're up against two very dangerous left wingers in our next two games. The fear is real.

I'd started early on the ale so I might be wrong but they didn't seem to do a lot going forward on the flanks which obviously made his job a lot easier and meant he could get up the park . I do agree he'll be tested next fixtures .

Pretty good going forward, not the best defensively.

We shouldn't be expecting too much from a full back signed on a free like, he'll do until Coleman is back

Was it just me or does he look either really uninterested defensivly or really stupid when it comes to defending.
He takes so long to close the player down, and there is so much just sticking a foot out to stop crosses etc.

A couple of good wings up the wing and a few crosses isnt going to convince me as easily as some

He was ok given he's a free transfer. I must admit my judgement is clouded by a vision of Jonjoe Kenny in the Yosser Hughes role knocking on Koeman's door : " I'm a right back. I can do that . Gis a job. "

Yes he still has questions to answer against his defending, I think he did enough tonight to earn a start on Monday, so that will be a huge test for him.

Lets see how he defends v City v Sane?

No, because for the past few years Baines has been unable to cross a ball.

He did some nice ones last night though. Was good to see.

I'm happy to hold my hand up and admit he's not quite as bad as I first feared. I'm sufficiently self aware to acknowledge that my opinion of JJK meant that Cuco was always going to have a hard time convincing me that he should be starting ahead of him. Defensively he does seem very suspect, and I can now say this from personal opinion rather than second hand. But offensively he does offer something that you don't get from the likes of Holgate. His crossing in a couple of games now has been top drawer and I didn't expect to be saying that. He crosses the ball first time with no arsing about and I've forgotten what that's like tbh. If we bring in the right type of striker, he will have a field day knowing if he makes the runs the ball is going to come in early. I have no issue in him starting at FB in games we expect to dominate, or even as a WB when we play a back 3. But please, I don't want him in the team this weekend or in any of the games coming up against the top teams. He'll get absolutely roasted, and all the good work he did last night will be undone in a heartbeat.
