Notts County 1984,mad day out!!!
There’s more of us than you,
There’s more of us than you

Madame Allezlesbleus was meant to be on a course but sacked it off and came on the train from London. Fortunately we got her a spare off an ESCLA guy on the train! Think we might have been on a Persil ticket on the train!! Remember them !!!!

Only times you behave yourself are when your good lady is with you mate ;) lol

Worst was Wigan it was like a car crash in slow motion neville was finished and moyes refused to drop him, our best chance in years and moyes prepared us like that, I've never forgiven him .

Dave Watson v Newcastle at Goodison is one of the games I remember most from my childhood, just watched highlights back on YouTube and cant help but chuckle at how bad the overall quality of football was back then.

Bad - Villa in 2000 lost 2-1 at Goodison. Was convinced we were going to do great things that season. From memory think both their goals were follow up on rebounds, was gutted. In hindsight if we’d got past Villa we may have made it to the last old Wembley final.

Good - more recent memory 2016 vs Chelsea; the Lukaku QF. Was so glad Hazard was missing. Shame we did an Everton in the semi.

Worst thing was he had been out the team and he reinstated him in place of an in form Darron Gibson who was on the bench with a niggle. Shocking decision that was me done with Moyes as well.

1983 @ Old Trafford.

Howard’s nascent super team were unfancied but played really well with Alan Irvine starring on the right wing.

We looked like taking them back home for a replay but Frank Stapleton scored a late winner for them.

But little did we know the foundation had been laid for the next chapter in EFC histor.

Last time we played City in the 6th Round in 1981.

We were leading 2-1 when Imre Varadi rounded their goalie and...missed :(

Bobby MacDonald equalised and they beat us in the replay.

Gerry Gow equalised with a useless Jim Mc Donough in goal,
Bobby McDonald who was playing left back, got two in the replay at Maine Road the following Wednesday,
awful night stood in the Kippax

I remember being surprised when we managed to get seats in the front row of the stand until it started raining and we realised the roof didn't cover the front few rows lol

Lou Macari?
Andy King still injured that game iirc

I think Andy King got injured at Sunderland the week before if memory serves me right.
He was playing really well at the time as well. If he was fit we would of knocked united out that day. I remember the amount of chances Sharp and Heath missed between them
United never created a clear cut chance all game and they got that fluke 7 minutes into injury time. Funny thing was I can’t remember any stoppages during the game!
