Why? Road Rash is still more than playable. I wouldn't kick in, unless someone had a really innovative take on the mechanics of Road Rash.

More lycra, roadside 'fan' involvement, and no more of this 6-7 hour days ride, get it to ten hours in the saddle. Also open the field, 200 odd wont make Paris in these race conditions, 2k might see a handful finish.

Pogacar will win unless JV pummel him in the first week as he gets up to speed. Their squad is stacked full of classics riders so the first stage could be interesting.

Have you heard his non commentary accent? Proper Lancastrian. Just found it odd that his commentary voice is so different.

That last climb today sounds like a beast - harder than mur de huy at fleche, and a lot of the cobble warriors swerve that race. If Pog wants to put on a show then he wins I reckon - of course he might elect to keep his powder dry.
10k in to finish after the climb so not completely cut and dried that the first guy over will win.

No stages for Cav is I guess the realistic view, but I'm choosing to believe The magic man will find a way.

Yes when I first heard him on cycling podcast it took a few minutes to work out who it was

Love watching the Tour and its the highlight of summer sport for me.

For those of us who dont have a subscription that can show the Tour in HD I tried watching it on ITVX app on my phone which has a good screen and the difference in quality compared to watching on my blurred TV pic was amazing .. greatly improved!
