Because of their storied history and traditions and love of the game you picked one in China.Yes I follow the fortunes of clubs abroad.. certain ones get more interest than others and I am pretty sure many many football fans do that...
Where do I sign up?Twenty minutes to go, looking like a bunch of mercenaries who are only in it for the tits and cars.
I think money has eroded values and traditions in the game.. I might be wrong but just feel people loved the game more because it was more honest..
When I was growing up at the age of eleven or twelve if you said to kids that age what do you want to be when you grow up they would say a footballer... next question would be why do you want to be one of them and the kid would say “ I want to win the Cup “ .. “ I want to play at Wembley “ or maybe play at Goodison or Anfield.. all genuine football reasons... you ask a kid nowadays why he wants to be a footballer and he will say “ I want loads of money “ or “ I want to buy a Ferrari “ or even “ I want a bird on my arm with big boobs and blonde hair “ none of them footballing reasons all because the game has been run with money values instead of footballing ones..
Just a shame that’s all..
