Yeah took more of an overall interest in the League last few years.. probably when the likes of Scolari and Lippi started to manage over there later on Canarvaro and Jordi Cryuff but when Benitez took over Dalian Pro my awareness and interest intensified a bit more..

Nope most definately not a SKY Sports fan.. could’nt be given my age and traditional values I hold.. I think football is absolutely dreadful now if am honest compared to what it was... maybe it’s an old age thing but I really do feel upset yearning for the BIg Match Revisited days again...
Football just seemed to mean more back then and it also seems so manufactured and forced now probably driven by the likes of SKY and money ruining it..
That's all great, but you ignored my question of who you supported before Dalian.

Wonder why that is....

You are against money in the game.
But decided to support a team in China.
That is an interesting concept.
Who's next . The Qatari league?

I think money has eroded values and traditions in the game.. I might be wrong but just feel people loved the game more because it was more honest..

When I was growing up at the age of eleven or twelve if you said to kids that age what do you want to be when you grow up they would say a footballer... next question would be why do you want to be one of them and the kid would say “ I want to win the Cup “ .. “ I want to play at Wembley “ or maybe play at Goodison or Anfield.. all genuine football reasons... you ask a kid nowadays why he wants to be a footballer and he will say “ I want loads of money “ or “ I want to buy a Ferrari “ or even “ I want a bird on my arm with big boobs and blonde hair “ none of them footballing reasons all because the game has been run with money values instead of footballing ones..

Just a shame that’s all..

What do the Chinese kids want to be when they grow up mate ?

Having watched some clips of the mighty DP in action, I should imagine being a footy player is way down their list.

The CSL is the epitome of Sky modern football though.

Throw a load of money at it, ignore the past etc, basically manufacturing football inorganically.

They want a mythical jolly fat man to appear bearing gifts if they've been good for the year.

And the name of that fat man? Rafael Benitez! Ho ho ho.
