It does seem a lot further along that what I had been thinking. I remember Elstone saying that we’d be needing to see some drawings for the stadium around summertime, so hopefully before the season is out we will know a lot more.

I think those BH documents dropped last summer and the bowl design is exactly the same. Basically this has been ready for over a year.

Wow, that really hits home how utterly turd West Hams stadium is. That concourse between tier 1 and tier 2 is horrendous. The 2nd tear is neatly halfway across the channel it's that far back.

Also, the draft with the new stand and our current main stand - that gives us a really good indication of height and how fat back the stadium could be because look at how much further it goes back compared to the Top Balcony.

I'm generally cynical when it comes to things Everton, but I like the proposal that the new stadium will provide wheelchairs equipped with periscopes that look back in time; users can then watch matches from the 80s (when we were good)...although it may get a little confusing since they'll be watching great football but be hearing a huge volume of booing.

Is that orientation confirmed? So the length of the stadium will run parallel to the Mersey?

I’m very pleased if that’s so, but I thought we’d been lead to believe that the size and shape of the plot meant that the end of the stadium would be parallel to the river...
Meis said it’s almost certainly going to be going North-South, even though that seems counterintuitive to the shape of the plot.

Nearly all stadia are done North-South because otherwise the sun is a nightmare for both goalkeepers and the TV cameras

Broadcast and league rules dictate orientation

Kin hell, it actually does look like Mister Meis has been doing a bit of work to be fair. I just assumed he was living it up in a swanky hotel paid for by the club, sort of like Steve Walsh does when he's scouting for new restaur.. I mean players abroad.

That’s great news. It hugely increases the stadium’s profile on the waterfront.
