In the 16th century, that's how lepers took communion....maybe that's an idea for the away end?
It does seem a lot further along that what I had been thinking. I remember Elstone saying that we’d be needing to see some drawings for the stadium around summertime, so hopefully before the season is out we will know a lot more.
For clarification, the big home end is north or south and the triple stand is west or east?
Thanks.Big home end is south and main stand is west.
Is that orientation confirmed? So the length of the stadium will run parallel to the Mersey?Big home end is south and main stand is west.
Meis said it’s almost certainly going to be going North-South, even though that seems counterintuitive to the shape of the plot.Is that orientation confirmed? So the length of the stadium will run parallel to the Mersey?
I’m very pleased if that’s so, but I thought we’d been lead to believe that the size and shape of the plot meant that the end of the stadium would be parallel to the river...

That’s great news. It hugely increases the stadium’s profile on the waterfront.Meis said it’s almost certainly going to be going North-South, even though that seems counterintuitive to the shape of the plot.
Nearly all stadia are done North-South because otherwise the sun is a nightmare for both goalkeepers and the TV cameras
Sounded from Meis’s comments that it’s not so much a rule as it is a convention (and that other orientations would require a lot of work to prevent sun being a problem)Broadcast and league rules dictate orientation
Well so does plot size. It seems to me that the rumours of some of Nelson dock being utilised must surely be true.Broadcast and league rules dictate orientation
