David Moyes - Tactically Inept

1. Dropped a bollock? He asked for a pay rise BEFORE he was going to be sold. If that's dropping a bollock then you need to go and see what happened to that Gillingham players scrotum lad.

2. You can deny it all you want. He needed two out and out wingers and a direct Arteta replacement plus a striker to change the way we play.

He got a big fat didily squat from the board. So we're down on last year. Both in manpower and key influential positions.

Smoke it

And you put the nail in your footballing knowledge there pal with that "we needed players in to change our style" lololololololol

Smoke what exactly? That crack pipe you're obviously puffing on?

"we needed players in to change our style" doesn't appear in that article anywhere.

In fact "style" isn't mentioned. The only time "change" is mentioned was that Yakubu wanted a change. I bet! - He wanted more money facht.

So why are you quoting non-existent quotes??!?

Yes. Tears indeed.

Hahahaha you massive point dodging, deflecting, agenda ridden moron.

I just proved Yak was gonna be sold before he requested this phantom pay rise. He was gone.

The fact you know nothing about football shows in the way you are unable to defend the fact it apparently takes signing players to change the way we play.

Wipe yourself down and get banned again

Convo over

Still making quotes of non-existent text there?

You do know the purpose of QUOTING don't you?

I think I'll stick to doing what I do best, and "know nothing" about football then.

*whistles*

Quotation is the repetition of someone else's statement/thoughts. This can be in the form of words, songs, American Sign Language, written, or any other form of communication. Quotation marks are punctuation marks used in text to indicate the words of another speaker or writer. Both of these words are sometimes abbreviated as "quote(s)".

Note the absence of making up something that was apparently stated.

"we needed players in to change our style" - nice try.

"Knowing nothing about football" - isn't all bad it seems.

Give Moyes some money this transfer window. All I'll say.

Matt is half right - Yak asked for a payrise, but more importantly a contract extension, a long time before we sold him but was refused one. As of January he was literally a dead man walking at Everton as Yak made it obvious to the club that he had no desire to see out his contract. I knew he was on his way out as early as October 2010; it was well known in and around the club (in certain circles).

We tried to find a replacement last January actually but nobody was available so Yak stayed on till the Summer as glorified cover (he eventually went on loan as it became clear he was very disillusioned at the club). When we did sell him, it was under the full expectation of David Moyes that a replacement would be brought in, with Demba Ba negotiating with us as early as June. However, when that fell through, there was no Plan B, Yak was already on his way, and that left us with a last gasp scramble for Stracqualursi in August.

It clearly wasnt - we were on top for all of the first half - we aren't equipped to play flowing attractive football at the moment, and are needing to grind out results.

I agree that Cahill has been woefully out of form for a long time - but in the circumstances today i thought he did ok, and put himself about.
....mind boggiling

Oh wait, actually just read this back, this is probably the first time I've ever said this, but Matt is completely right. Yak was subject to an offer in the Summer but it was by no means certain he would be sold. The contract request did indeed happen September/October 2010 and it was only after it became clear Yak would not run down his existing contract as the club wished that the sale became inevitable.

The earliest Everton were willing to sell him for anything less than stupid money was January 2011.

He was up for being sold before October. May and the start of the 2010-2011 season we knocked back west hams bids because we wanted more money, as pointed out by Moyes. That was the point.

It's not as though there was a tipping point, he was 3rd-4th choice striker and wouldve been sold if someone made the valuation right at the end of May 2010.

He was expendable for a while.

He wasn't completely out of the picture in Moyes's eyes mate. He started prominently in the 2010-11 season but he really did put in a contract request shortly afterwards, completely fell out with the club and was pretty much dismissed from the Everton first team picture with Saha and Beckford utilised until he was shipped out on loan.

He said to... I believe it was one of the coaching staff, that he'd never play at Everton again in January, which forced our hand with the Leicester move. He then said the same thing whilst on loan at Leicester.

Think about it - why would we turn down a decent offer from West Ham but sell him for £1m a year later if he was already disposable?

I reckon we should give me a polygraph and Kenada blue a polygraph as everyone knows two polygraphs is better than one. -- - copyright RAWK, 2010
