1 - You've dropped a bollock big time there mate. At the START of last season, before he apparantly waltzed in for a pay rise, was going to be sold....but no one wanted to pay what we valued him at. He was expendable.
Unless it can be proven otherwise, the "I want a pay rise" is just a rumour. But the fact remains, he was going to be sold.
2 - We all know you know nothing about football generally, so there's no point in arguing with you. But that point stays the same. You lose 2 players. You cant afford to bring anyone in. What do you do? Try to play the same way you did with those 2 players? Well, that's what he's been doing since last season. If you have any common football sense, you'd know this. It was also pointed out by many that last season it didnt work, the same style of football was seen in pre-season, and its happened again even with Arteta in the squad for the first few games.
You also adapt and use what you've got. Something Moyes has said countless times before, but rarely has done so with the likes of Barkley, Vellios, Gueye all in and out of the team without hesitation.
Also, in fact we're missing one key player in Arteta as, like you say, Drenthe is a Pienaar replacement.
But he still hasnt changed the side and how it plays. Answer me why?
