David Moyes - Tactically Inept

Villa look like they've got a cracking youth side. They've got some decent talent in Bent, N'Zogbia, Agbonlahor, Albrighton and Given too. They definitely have the basis of a good side.

The RS haven't got the chemistry right yet, but they have a solid foundation and some dangerous forwards. They beaten Chelsea twice and Arsenal, as well as drawing with City and United, so they can't be in too bad shape.

Damon will say other wise

Two words for you.

OWEN COYLE.

FFS!

Bolton have lost Elmander, Sturridge, Holden and Lee and have had to contend with uncertainty over Cahill's future.

We've been able to bring in Drenthe for Arteta and promote Vellios in place of Beckford. Coyle could have bought better, but you can understand his thinking with N'Gog and Eagles in particular.

We're fortunate to be in the position that we are and yet Villa are only a point behind us. I know they're not setting the world alight, but they lost Friedal, Downing and Young last season and neither Bent or N'Zogbia are living up to their reputations at the moment.

Harry you talk **** sir!!

If what your saying is true and moyes has had money to spend, not had his hand tied behind his back...

I take it you are happy with the level of support he has received from our board and they have done a good job supporting him over the years...

Oh there's a clock somewhere on line u can look at...
It says it all really!!

I notice you didn't mention Pienaar or Yakubu.

I see what you did there.

Bent may or may not be there much longer. Remember they're going to lose money again this season. Around £20million worth of loses to be more precise.

Yakubu was a non entity at the club last season.

That might explain whilst there was such shock (and extreme venting on here) of some when Moyes said "this is my best ever side" when he didn't turn up; then asked for a 25% pay rise... perhaps?

He still needed replacing though. Evidently.

Who said he wanted a pay raise? From what I got told, he just wanted to play football but was second fiddle to Saha...then we got Beckford, was 3rd choice, and he went on loan.

Afterall, we were willing to sell him at the start of last season to West Ham who came in twice way below the £5-6mill valuation we had for him.

End of the day, only Pienaar and Arteta hurt us leaving.

But that still doesnt get around the fact that Moyes hasnt changed the system to accomodate that.

1. I'll let better men refresh your memory about him scoring then asking for a pay rise. Why do you think he was sold really?

2. How the feck can Moyes change his system to accomodate the selling with out replacing the two most creative (and both former players of the season) players???

Are you on crack?

He needed to bring two players in to replace them at a minimum. Instead he was unable to.

Instead he was allowed to bring one in on loan that could be argued was a pienaar replacement - at a time when we pienaar was here we needed another winger on top of him to rebalance the side.

So it was damage limitation alround. But you can only put the fires out for so long without someone noticing. People are noticing he's not had money to spend. Facht.

1 - You've dropped a bollock big time there mate. At the START of last season, before he apparantly waltzed in for a pay rise, was going to be sold....but no one wanted to pay what we valued him at. He was expendable.

Unless it can be proven otherwise, the "I want a pay rise" is just a rumour. But the fact remains, he was going to be sold.

2 - We all know you know nothing about football generally, so there's no point in arguing with you. But that point stays the same. You lose 2 players. You cant afford to bring anyone in. What do you do? Try to play the same way you did with those 2 players? Well, that's what he's been doing since last season. If you have any common football sense, you'd know this. It was also pointed out by many that last season it didnt work, the same style of football was seen in pre-season, and its happened again even with Arteta in the squad for the first few games.

You also adapt and use what you've got. Something Moyes has said countless times before, but rarely has done so with the likes of Barkley, Vellios, Gueye all in and out of the team without hesitation.

Also, in fact we're missing one key player in Arteta as, like you say, Drenthe is a Pienaar replacement.

But he still hasnt changed the side and how it plays. Answer me why?

1. Dropped a bollock? He asked for a pay rise BEFORE he was going to be sold. If that's dropping a bollock then you need to go and see what happened to that Gillingham players scrotum lad.

2. You can deny it all you want. He needed two out and out wingers and a direct Arteta replacement plus a striker to change the way we play.

He got a big fat didily squat from the board. So we're down on last year. Both in manpower and key influential positions.

Im sorry Matt, but you appear to have made this Yak wanted a payrise story up.

Ive personally never heard it before and I know EVERYTHING.

Yak is a strange 1, I doubt we will ever know the truth, I just know that he was a lazy sack of sulking crap and I for 1 dont miss him.

I miss the 1st Season Yak, he was superb, but it was all downhill from then, as he looked for his next payday.

He did ask for a payrise. As I said. I will allow better men on here fill in the relevant details.
