David Moyes - Tactically Inept

If I was only on 65k a week not to care.

For me this is the problem, he won't walk away from that kind of money and we can't afford the compensation to sack him therefore we are stuck, only in football can your manager underperform and be paid compensation for getting sacked for not doing his job properly, madness i say.

People who don't think there are other managers out there to replace him are blinkered there are lots of experienced managers as well as young guns waiting to step up, at the end of the day we couldn't play any worse than we do now so what have we got to lose? Never thought I'd join the anti Moyes brigade this is what he has done to me this season.

Lads, be careful what you wish for!!

This is the man who got us into Europe before bottling out as soon as we faced a decent team.

I'm really not sure if I want rid of Moyes or not, but his tactical nous does have to be called into question this season.

Essentially he sets up every week to make us difficult to beat, but as results have shown we're actually painfully easy to beat as we never keep clean sheets.

I wish Moyes would show some goddamn passion when we lose.

Honestly, and this is the most damning thing about Moyes:

He's the only manager in the premier league who sets up to not lose games, rather than win games.

Are you saying Villa (McLeish) doesn't?

Because the FACHTs would say otherwise. They've drawn more games than anyone (8) this season to date.

Or Kenny Dalglish - (7) and his merry band of melts?

Fachts is fachts.

At least we're not Villa !

Or even worse - Owen Coyle !

All that says is that they've drawn games, which does differ to how your team sets up to play. Norwich and Fulham have also drawn many games, but did you see either Norwich or Fulham play 4-4-1-1 against us with two defenders in centre mid?

We very luckily beat Fulham, and Norwich came to Goodison and went for all 3 points. They narrowly missed out, but they sure as hell tried their best. It wasn't Lambert's negativity that costs them the 3 points for certain. 4-4-2 away from home shows that alone.

The main point is, we're actually better than these teams and if we set up to have a go and beat them, then in most cases I believe we would. But Moyes only sets his teams up not to lose, which means we either draw with lesser teams or beat them luckily (see Blackburn and Fulham).

You can try and divert away from the fachts all you want lid. But you made the point that ONLY Moyes sets up to not get beat.

The FACHTS state otherwise.

Its all about players Moyes has available, and the fact that Arteta, Pienaar, Yakubu etc were not replaced and the kids are unproven in the roles people are expecting miracles from them.

If Velios were played from the start and didn't do anything (as he's not ready yet) people would blame Moyes.

He can't win with some at the moment who are looking to criticise over anything and everything.

The key thing is what does he have to spend to replace lost players this January.

I can't believe the amount of fans in moyes back and actually wanting him out!! It's unbelievable. Short memories

Before he took over we would be happy with a season like this as apposed to the normal relegation battle.
We would of been ecstatic at the thought of constant top 6 finishes!
He built up these expectations that you all have now and our whining about us not being as good this year!
If we had been playing this sort of football over the last few years it would be nothing new. The fact we have played good football under moyes when he as had the right players has made the difference in football all the more noticeable this year!

My god people get a grip... If he hadn't lost Rooney, lescott, pienaar, Arteta over the years and had been able to buy we'd be a top 4 team ffs.

I hope he gets the money to bring in a couple along with Donovan just to prove all you moyes haters wrong!!

He deserves much more off Evertonians!

It clearly wasnt - we were on top for all of the first half - we aren't equipped to play flowing attractive football at the moment, and are needing to grind out results.

I agree that Cahill has been woefully out of form for a long time - but in the circumstances today i thought he did ok, and put himself about.
we were on top? what game was you watching mate... whenever a player got the ball they would boot it as high and far away as they could im sure there was a private competition..... dont think iv ever seen hoofed balls from midfield by all means in defence when theres pressure

Why? You do it all the time.

While I think sitting Barkley isn't right, it's not as if playing anyone on the bench right now ahead of the starting 11 is really going to change the way the squad plays.

They don't have the horses right now to score goals. That has to change. I'd like to see more attractive football as well, but I don't want to watch it in the Championship.

he has spent 115 million on players, i know he has sold alot (about 105million) but to say he hasn't spent money buying players he wanted is just silly
