David Moyes - Tactically Inept

Defo, I couldn't believe how average they looked. Just pleased we took advantage of it. If we'd have made similar subs against Sunderland we might have got the three points there too. Let's not get ahead of ourselves but if we beat Bolton on Wednesday then it's been a very good Christmas for us.

We'll get beat natch.

Chico, you have said the same about swansea and sunderland i think, and they have both had good results before and after we played them, much like west brom having good results before today.

So maybe, just maybe, moyes has to be given some credit for negating all of them and us getting results. But whisper it quietly around here cos if you back moyes in any way you are called a loon who hasnt got a clue.

6 points better off than this stage last season, and we have a game in hand.

We've won the 9th place trophy twice this year alone. Three times and we get to keep it. COYBs!

Can't believe you're happy with the 9th place trophy.

We were a dead cert for the 8th place trophy a few weeks ago but i guess Moylez and Kenwrong have worn you down to accept 9th place as good enough :(

Think he got it right today, boring as the formation and players picked looked. West Brom been going alright lately, we're away, not to mention we didn't pick a point up off them last year either, and they had Paul Scharner in the team who's usually nailed on to get one.
Putting attacking subs on midway through the second half to set up a counter attack on them after being on the ropes for 7 rounds wasn't exactly Ali vs Foreman, but it's worked and we've picked up some valuable points. Credit where it's due. Sure they had chances, but that's footy, be pretty boring if it were a one sided affair.

I'm amazed that Moyes went for it. Listening to him afterwards, he would have been quite happy to let it peter out into a drab draw. Straq isn't a goal threat just yet, but he looks like he can hold the ball up long enough for midfielders to join him aswell as winning his fair share of flicks ons. It seems like he doesn't mind running after aimless punts too. It might be worth starting him ahead of Saha.
