David Moyes - Taking a knife to a gunfight at West Ham, Part 2

Well done to East Beef and Moyes. A manager who has been engaged in a soap opera style 'will he, won't he' get the sack storyline all season. Let's be honest they were awful pretty much all season and yet made it to a final by virtue of playing absolutely nobody of any note.

It's a measure of how badly we've mucked it up under the board of goons and penfold that a club whose supporters look like the audience at the x factor, are subsidised by the most incompetent government of modern times, run by the dildo brothers and scowling tory Brady, and managed by a man with no eyebrows whose career of bottling big moments wouldn't look out of place at spurs, have won a European trophy while we scraped to safety on match day 38.

We are utter mince.

It's not being bitter and small time to call a tournament for what it is.

I certainly dont feel any bitterness toward West Ham. What they do is irrelevant to me. The issue isn't with that club, it's with the competition they just won.
It’s coming across as quite bitter, jealous and small time, to belittle the tournament and the levels of oppositions wham have faced to win it.

Wham qualified for it, took it seriously and tried to win it.

I have much more respect for the team and their fans in doing that, than seeing the competition as beneath them and not being arsed (hello Spurs?!) - I would love Everton to be in whams position, in a “meaningless” European competition.

I also don’t believe that you wouldn’t be as happy as the hammers are if we ever won this so called lesser competition.

I’d be on the ale for a week and I’m sure many other blues would.

I'd be pleased for a day or so. I said that already. It wouldn't blind me to the fact it's a competition for third tier Euro no marks.

Even if we got to the semi finals of the so-called third rate European competition... that'd be the best achievement this club has made in 28 years. Says it all really.

I;m just underlining a fact: the Europa Conference League would be fun to win...for about 12 hours.

I'd be embarrassed if Everton won it then added it to their honours list.

If we had gone and won this it would mean the following:

We wouldn't have been in that relegation fight last season which was horrible for all involved

We would be in Europe next season

We would have got the 28 year curse off our back

We would have had some cracking European away days which the fans deserve after the turd we've been served lately

I would have a reason for today's hangover instead of being a boring drunk who decided to carry on drinking when he got in from a quick pint in the pub after work and I wouldn't be sat here having a word with myself

Now I don't expect you care to much about my midweek drinking habits or current hungover self-hate but the other points are spot on and so well made that even you must agree that winning that last night would have been better than not winning it.

You sound like a divorced fella who hasn't had his leg over in years sat in a pub and a fella walks in with a 6/10 and you turn to your mate and say "I wouldn't even touch it with yours" about all this.

Cresswell....

Scored last year and goads Everton fans...
