Could really do with a bit of the new manager bounce tonight (or regression to the mean for you statisticians out there...) and it feels like the the game is set up for it... we're not playing a top of the league side who could come and steam roll us or a bottom side who could spring a surprise, we're playing a decent Villa side who do have their weaknesses to exploit under the lights.

A scrappy 1-0 will do for me like.

Yup, this is not the Dennis Mortimer, Tony Morley, Peter Withe, Gordan Cowans, Gary Shaw side, as decent as they currently are.

All set up for the Moyesiah's return. A win here would be lift-off, a point more than respectable.

So nice to have someone in charge tonight that has genuine passion for the club and wants us to win and move the club forwards. It will be the first time this season actually. Looking forward to seeing him on the side no matter what the result. Cannot expect too much in 3 days but hopefully the players will have a bit more shape and get up and go and the crowd will give everyone a much needed lift. Lets get Goodison rocking blues.
