2024/25 David Moyes

TBF, this was used nonstop as a stick to beat Dyche with. "last season we drew/won against these, we've gone backwards" it can't suddenly not be a metric.
Don’t disagree on that, and it absolutley should be a stick to beat Dyche with as he has clearly taken us backwards, hence my point about last season and this being totally different ball games.

Not sure it’s a stick to beat a new manager with however, or a metric to use against him.

Why should it be a metric for Moyes, he wasn’t in charge of those games.

I think we cant underestimate the negative effect Dyche had on the club and players. it wont be a quick turn around.

I think we instantly looked better at times last night. Hopefully some players in and we will be ok.

Moyes will have seen all he needed last night. I cant see DCL playing at the weekend.
He will start at the weekend, cos the other option is vastly worse.

Moyes has a few days of training to coach him back to his best.

Keep the faith.

I’d agree

He shouldn't start based on current performances. The most worrying thing last night wasn't that he missed and didn't score. It was by how far he missed the chance.

Beto is much more likely to get a goal and that matters more than hold up play at this point.

Keeping the faith in a player who has performed poorly since September, is not going to work. At some point you need to try something else.

And doucoure. No more doucoure please dave. Clinging on to he might score a goal is as desperate as we can get. 0 goals and 0 assists by the way for our "number 10" this season. Just thankful i suppose that his guile and vision around the box are making up for it.

Moyes needs to select his own team from now on. He's obviously given the same set of players a go last night (as it was under Dyche). There was some improvement I think that is probably down to how Moyes set up the team. But the team are still limp. Now scrub that team Moyes. We can't sit around waiting while the existing players shape up. It's not going to happen.

I get what you're saying, but it's the team, the club we're basing it on. So EVERTON drew that last season. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it's all I've heard for months and months about everything. Constant comparisions, so why aren't we allowed to do any now?

I think there needs to be some realism and understand that the big bad wolf hasn't gone and everything will suddenly be fine. The board ruined this club and I pray that Moyesy can begin to fix things, but it's deeper than a manager.

Much more likely to score if he gets an opportunity. We need our attackers to score goals.

Dom has had lots of opportunities and hasn't played well enough this year. At some point you have to try something different, be that starting Beto, or preferably a new signing.
Look, if Beto could play football, I would be all for it and I agree, Dom is out of form, is head is also elsewhere, yet managers keep playing him and not Beto.

Beto probably wouldnt be here now if Broja didnt get injured.

But yes, plan C is acceptable for sure.

It's worth a go yes because playing DCL isn't working.

The plan A right now should be a new signing.
