2024/25 David Moyes

He will do that no problem.

Win one game a month from now to May.

The lack of movement this window indicates to me that Moyes and Thelwell wont be here in the summer.
I would be surprised if Moyes got fired in the summer if he keeps putting points on the board and takes us comfortably away from relegation, and he's not going to voluntarily quit a job in which he's owed millions in salary just because there isn't a lot of money to spend in January. He had 11 years here with little money to spend and our current restrictions are no secret, so he shouldn't be surprised at the situation. Thelwell however...... who knows. Could be sacked next week.

Yeah that i piece from Douglas said TFG see Moyes as “an anchor” for the club. Would be surprised if they sacked him if he keeps us up. Of course they might have other plans come the summer.

His first communications misstep today, I think.

Very strange to say the players we’re going to bring in aren’t the ones we want.

Hurts finalising deals, hurts confidence of incomers, depresses fans.

I think if Moyes continues to pick up points then he deserves to stay and it makes no sense to replace him in the summer.

But they need to make a decision on Thelwell. If he is their choice moving forward, offer him a new contract. If they want someone new in the DOF role, then move him on in February. They need to make a decision very soon because the uncertainty helps no one.

KT can’t be kept on he’s an inept DOF

Ya never know (they sacked DiRossi or some legend after about 4 games), but I'd be very surprised if they boot Moyes in the summer. You'd think he'd be the perfect guy to steady the ship for the first season in BMD, let the team and fans get settled in, then at the end of that season see where we're at... but who knows.

That was shocking today.

An utter car crash of a press conference.

Moyes came across as pathetic.

I mean, he's very experienced now and I thought - even though I didn't want him here - he looked calm and in control in his previous media work since coming back: something that must have given the players a boost...that they had a man who is assured and armed with a plan.

But THAT earlier!!!

He came across as bewildered and anxious and blurting out nonsense about possible/impossible signings.

That was a disaster.
