2024/25 David Moyes

Bringing players in January is difficult. Moyes hopefully is going to try but why throw money at it just to get bodies in? Players who don't fit the mould?

Can we stay up with what we have? I believe we can. It's going to be tough but I think I'm resigned to accepting that nobody will join the club in this window and that we do all we can to survive and rebuild in the summer.

I think Moyes has now realised just how bad this squad is compared to the West Ham squad he’d assembled.

If he keeps us in the league without signing any players he deserves a huge amount of credit.
He will do that no problem.

Win one game a month from now to May.

The lack of movement this window indicates to me that Moyes and Thelwell wont be here in the summer.

Thelwell definitely. Suspect Moyes might well still be here but who knows. Maybe they’ll want their top target in with the supposed opportunity to invest due to PSR constraints lessening.

He absolutely will deserve credit. 3 wins in half a season before he arrived, 2 in the 3 weeks he's been here. That said, we really "should be" fine from relegation: Saints as good as gone, 7-10 point gap to the bottom three we if we beat Leics, and 15 more games to get 10-12 points should get us over the line. Not a huge task for a decent-ish team that only plays once a week.
