Yep unbelievable load of tosh you write!!

You ignore what people say and then just repeat over and over...

Think about what people are saying to you and what you are saying back.

No one has said you can only have one ffs.

...as it is impossible to disprove.

I'd say it's a fair statement overall when you look at where we were and where we were headed before he took over.

it doesn't matter, if you are disagreeing with what someone has said you can't just use a made up arguement to prove your point. I shouldn't have to disprove anything as I didn't come out with it.

now if I said to you, I'm not a moyes fan because the majority of his football has been percentage football and I don't like his style. I can prove this by posting you DVDs of each season. What he said was just what he thought and that means nothing. Another manager might of come in and won us the league in 10 years, i cant claim it because i dont know. Facts are wonderful things.

Khalekan - I fully understand your logic -
some of us just do not equate Moyes to the Messiah - believe that no other manager could have done better than him in 11 long years - and nobody will do better now -
my point is that if he was nearly as good as some people believe he would have been snatched up by a big club long ago -
the main reason why Man United took him now is that he is the best Brittish coach -
Sir Alex will certainly be calling the shots from his directors chair - Moyes will just be the messenger to the players -
if Moyes could not stand up to BK - do you think he will ignore the orders from Sir Alex ?
Moyes is a pleaser - the job will suit him perfectly until Sir Alex really retires from football -
I have never said Moyes is a bad manager but I will not say he is wonderful yet - if you can't win silverware at Old Trafford you have no excuses ...........

He's not, tho'...he'll be an ambassador and advisor like Bobby Charlton. Alex Ferguson & David Moyes are old-school glaswegian work-ethicians..they won't get in each other's way. Moyes has to stand on his own two feet, it will be interesting to see how he gets on.

Naah, they dont care if he's British, German or Timbuktooian. They'd have put Carlos Queroz in if they thought he was right for the job, Moyes got it because they thought he was the best man for the job

Thank you, sideliner..... you are a person of great perspicacity.

I think your analysis may well be spot on.

:)

Im not sure of your point, any Club at any time can win a Trophy, Swansea and Wigan have won the cups this Season, neither team is good, neither Manager is anything other than tosh, they got lucky.

Would Everton have won a Cup in the last 11 Years if Moyes wasnt here? Would Everton currently be playing League One football if Moyes hadnt have came? Will Everton win anything again?

Nobody can answer those questions, but if we do win a trophy, it wont be cos we are Everton Football Club, 9 times League Champions, it will be because all the pieces fell into place at the right time.

My post wasnt in defence of Moyes, hes yesterdays news, hes gone, my post was to highlight the sheer arrogance of demanding that we win trophys cos of who we are, who we were, not what we have become.

wigan got lucky by spanking a team away who only lost 1 goal all season by taking the game to them? They got lucky by deservedly beating the richest team in the prem in the final by taking the game to them?

Swansea got lucky by spanking 3 at anfield by taking the game to them? They got lucky by winning over two legs vs chelsea including a 2-0 win at stamford bridge?

we got unlucky because we decided to bring a defender on to shore up our defence away at bolton? we got unlucky because we went with the highly successful osman and neville centre mid pertnership that has been a breathe of fresh air??

We almost certainly wouldn't have been as successful as we have been in the league over the last decade with another manager, but it's not too much to say to a lot of other managers out there would have got us the final at the least this season.
