De Zerbi Leaves Brighton

that would be the nail in the coffin of that club

Why? He did great at sassulo. Was going well with shakhtar when war broke out. He had a decent first season with brighton getting them into europe. It went a bit flat this season but he lost mitoma and solly march with long term injuries. Big players for them to lose.
Seems to be this strange dislike towards him possibly because he is maybe hyped up a bit to much.
I reckon he's left brighton because a big job have approached.
I still think he's a good manager but will be interesting to see how it goes at a "top" club if that is indeed what happens.

Mac Allister deffo even though he plays for the [Poor language removed] you can't deny he is class.

Caicedo is overrated but not his fault his was bought for £100m like.

Think Mitoma being injured for a few months has had an impact too. Wonder if anyone from the top 6 will go for him?
TBF the loss of Mac Allisterr and Caicedo was pretty big for them this season

Brighton are decisive in everything they do, which I’m very envious of. This guy wasn’t all he was cracked up to be, so they let him go and leverage whatever juice he has left into getting a bigger job he’ll be out of (with a boss payoff) in 7 months while they have the whole summer to find the next guy.

Did De Zerbi get Brighton to 72 points or a couple of cup SFs?
Oh, and thanks for the memory Dave. Villa might not even make 70 points tomorrow and they'll still get 4th.

ANY other season and 72 points gets you CL. But not when ol' Everton get it, FFS!:rant::rant:

Villa play rubbish 5-a-side football and will never see a Camelot season.

Yeah wouldn’t surprise me. They had their first ever European campaign on top of that too

They probably already know who their next one will be

Wouldn’t be surprised. People love to deride claims they’re a well-run club when results aren’t great, but it’s stuff like this - even the best clubs don’t get every decision right - that shows they are IMO.

I’d absolutely kill for a board with a fraction of the competency of theirs.
