De Zerbi Leaves Brighton

Wouldn’t be surprised. People love to deride claims they’re a well-run club when results aren’t great, but it’s stuff like this - even the best clubs don’t get every decision right - that shows they are IMO.

I’d absolutely kill for a board with a fraction of the competency of theirs.
And you know, if you just put a little of genuine effort into making sure every seat on the board is occupied by an appointee that is more than qualified to sit there, then that's the hard part done. The rest comes naturally.

Bill and Mosh had no real clue how to do that. And honestly, I don't think they gave too much a toss either.

Gobsmacked :o

I'm not surprised tbh, there had been some stories down here about him splitting opinion in the dressing room over recent times.

In terms of tactics & players being used?

Personally thought he was reaping the benefits of other people's good work, jury is still out for me

If hes that type of manager then hes maybe suitable for a better team with all the players in place.

Not a jibe against RDZ but the job Potter did there is quite underrated IMO

Yes his style is suited for underdogs. Chelsea as favourites didnt suit him.

I think Chelsea was just a mess

Overworked and tired, high injuries this season, don't think they have ever had anything less than at least 6 first teamers out at any point during this season..

And this is going to probably be the most noise that's been made about him leaving? 😂 😂

What? No fairy tale ending, or cringe worthy vomit inducing open letters in the press to the fans, or giant murals on the sides of buildings that light up and cause epileptic fits, or vapidly over-produced videos on social media with jarg music in the background that sounds like it's been lifted off of a b-grade Olympic style event?!?

Rubbish mate! De Zerbi, you only get a 1/10! FFS! 😤

Why do you get so riled up at the suggestion other teams might be ran a bit better than Everton? It's a bit odd this, you're basically inventing a fan to get angry at here.

You joking? Half the forum pulled their pants down for De Zerbi and Brighton. This is apparently the formula for success w should all be following. Constant turn over of players and a genius manager. They were going to be European regulars if you read this place and they were steps ahead of everyone else. Well now they’re smack in mid table with us possibly the worst run team in the PL. of course there’s things we could learn from some of their recruitment but the cult like adulation of them on here was embarrassing.

In fairness, some of the same posters, jizzed themselves silly over Leeds last season and the mighty Luton this season, so them knocking one out over Brighton isn’t an isolated case or surprising.

Next season they’ll be knocking one out, over at least one other team, probably Leeds if they get promoted.

It’s just the way things are with the intellectually challenged.

They are demonstrably better run than us

It’s not even up for debate

If they did have a bad season and got relegated, they’re financially secure and would likely bounce back quickly

If we ever got relegated in our current form it’s the end of the club

You can say you don’t like the model, but in a world where FFP and PSR have ensured that the ladder between top six and everyone else has been pulled up to before unseen levels, success for everyone else is linked more than ever to sustainability, and Brighton kick the absolute crap out of us in that category
