Lol, you really do hate them Al, don't ya?
Tbf, Brighton are Palace’s equivalent to Liverpool, so fair enough on his part

Pot. Kettle. Black. If Farhad had a pound for every player you’ve insulted, ie called a carthorse or a donkey over the years, we wouldn’t be in a financial mess.

Tbh 99% of these insults have been at Michael Keane who has done more than most to try and relegate Everton. Thankfully Dyche dropped him and it’s been 4th best defence in the league ever since.

Feel Brighton have lost there way somewhat, similar to how most clubs that receive the 'headpat' from the media and top 6 clubs do!

You look at the change in the age range of there players they have been recruiting.

Mac Allister, Mitoma, Cucurella, Estupinan, Mwepu, Trossard, Bissouma all bought around the age of 23-25 (only real exception being Caicedo).

Now they are looking to bring in your 18-19 year old's and as it seems, throw them in pretty early, but who are going to be the main players while these younger players get up to scratch?
Evan Ferguson has shown this year that, despite being a talent, he is still very young and cant be the main man for Brighton....just yet!

You have one or 2 like Dunk etc that will be there forever, but those players they expect the 'magic' from.....and expect to move on for huge profit are drying up!
Gilmour isnt Mac Allister, Adingra isnt Trossard, Baleba isnt Bissouma etc etc.

Happened to Southampton, happened to Leicester, this is the downward spiral of Brighton!
I'd imagine Crystal Palace will be the next club everyone wants to be 'ran like'

They are demonstrably better run than us

It’s not even up for debate

If they did have a bad season and got relegated, they’re financially secure and would likely bounce back quickly

If we ever got relegated in our current form it’s the end of the club

You can say you don’t like the model, but in a world where FFP and PSR have ensured that the ladder between top six and everyone else has been pulled up to before unseen levels, success for everyone else is linked more than ever to sustainability, and Brighton kick the absolute crap out of us in that category
Everton don't do relegations mate........that's our thing!

they’re model has worked tho mate tbf

but it’s just a circle

That model works......until it doesn't!

Ask Leicester & Southampton, who were other 'best ran clubs in the country' & top 6 play things!

How much money do they need to generate through transfers? Just keep some players instead and actually try and build a team!

In fairness, some of the same posters, jizzed themselves silly over Leeds last season and the mighty Luton this season, so them knocking one out over Brighton isn’t an isolated case or surprising.

Next season they’ll be knocking one out, over at least one other team, probably Leeds if they get promoted.

It’s just the way things are with the intellectually challenged.
Palace......nailed on!

They are one bad managerial appointment from the drop. I appreciate everyone is, but I see them in trouble next season. You can’t get it right constantly.

Its also a product of how uncompetitive football has become, Brighton are sold as an incredible success story for a few top ten finishes and they have obvioulsy spent time and resources puuting the systems into place to give them the best chance for success. But is there really a possibility of them going further and winning trophies? Not really, they will have their bones pick by sides favoured by FFP or wealthy enough to ignore FFP and despite have a great system in place it will be put under enormous pressure to produce almost immediate results transfer wise just to tread water
