Interesting words from Frank and gives us an insight:

"He had a massive role. We brought him to the club after a tough time. I’ll be honest sometimes it’s like we have to wait for you, can you train better? Can you fight to make me play you? Absolute credit to him today to suck it up sometimes. He has so much talent there. What he did was come on with quality, with belief, with legs and energy. He changed the game."

Wrote this in a different thread but prob more fitting here:

Dele was critical to my mind mate when he came on he gave us energy, threat, creativity and progression. He brought Richarlison and DCL into the game and there was a buzz amongst them, a different energy, rhythm and tempo. We looked like we had a creative p,Ayer behind the two for the first time in a long time and it drove Palace back, the lads a football player. To many of our creative players are to slow of thought, take to many touches and lack confidence. Dele doesn’t I hope tonight helped him reignite the fire.

I think there is too much emphasis on defence, We playedDoucoure Iwobi and Ali as a midfield 3.Doucoure more of a ball winner but the other 2 are mobile and are good in the ball and we got better control of midfield and dictated better ball position. Ali won us the game tonight no it shows we probably should have played him more.

Coming in peace here just to say that I loved that Dele performance tonight. If Lampard helps him reignite his passion for football, you have a world-class player with probably the best off ball movement I've seen in the Premier League.

Just please do us a favour and let him start on Sunday, he hates that Scum you play on sunday with a passion.

Congratulations on staying up, a Premier League without clubs like Everton, Villa etc. just wouldn't be the same.

Good balance and quick feet. The way he was able to find the pass in tight situations was excellent, in some cases sandwiched between two players and having the presence of mind and the skill to retain possession. Looked to spread the play quickly and have us on the front foot. Forty million sterling is nuts, but we've nothing anything like him. Think it's also bizarre that since he came in Iwobi has looked a player, almost as if they're both playing for the nod in what was Sigurdssons position.

Every time he comes on he shows a level of quality better than anyone else we have. I hope we can get these issues sorted because I've never been able to fault him in any of the appearances I've seen.

He's also always seemed up for the fight, passionate and part of the team from the way he celebrated some of the more mad moments we've had and also his general demeanor when he's on the pitch.

There must be something truly bizarre going on behind the scenes
