But no really.

Hes a quality player, when he wants to be, its difficult to call at this point.

I would probably keep him, but I can see why we might let him go, its a hard 1 to call.
I still don't know where he fits. He did well today though we were WIDE open, which we had to be, but you aren't going to be doing that every week.

At the same time maybe he's fine there with a real #6 and not Doucoure.

Really he's like everyone else. Sell if the number is met.

OF course we were wide open mate, we didnt play a midfield.

But yes, everybody is currently for sale.

I think there is too much emphasis on defence, We playedDoucoure Iwobi and Ali as a midfield 3.Doucoure more of a ball winner but the other 2 are mobile and are good in the ball and we got better control of midfield and dictated better ball position. Ali won us the game tonight no it shows we probably should have played him more.

Agreed. I think is mainly because our back 4 has been poor all season. When you conceded 61 and your keeper was not really to blame for many of the goals, then you really need to overhaul the back 4 and midfield.

If we start to play with 3 man midfield, I struggle to see Doucs back in starting 11 if Lampard wants a more possession based style. Not unless Doucs sacrifices for the team by staying back, winning balls and make simple passes.

I think Dele will feature more next season (if we don't sell him) but I'm not sure will it be starting 11 or from the bench

He's at his best as a second striker. We might well be able to play that next season. We couldn't do it right now and it's a shame but he stepped up to be counted today.

He's here for now, if he goes he goes but we probably have to approach the entire window like that with pretty much every player.

I have my doubts about the viability of that type of system full stop. I mean we could maybe do something like Conte does but miss me with any type of 4-4-1-1/4-2-3-1. Fully out on that. Three midfielders.

By the time we finish rebuilding he'll be 30. It's a no from me since it require us to pay real money.

He was solid tonight though.
He would have been the last player ( with the exception of Barkley) I’d have brought to/ back to the club...

Saying that every time he has featured he’s looked up for it and when he got on the ball tonight he was calm and direct in a once in a lifetime scenario...,

If he never kicks another ball for us ( beggars can’t be choosers btw) he owes us nothing after tonight...

I guess in terms of recruitment he couldn’t be worse ( or could he ?) than other signings we’ve made during 5 or 6 previous years...

Every self appointed expert says we require a complete clear out ...

In our case not as easy as you’d think as we’d end up with 4 or 5 players as we are that bad...

Maybe Ali and some an others can for some part of positive change/ momentum... here’s hoping..

Thought the club was on its lazzies at HT with the ventilator ( with the greatest respect) about to be turned off...

Pleased to report patient now breathing of its own accord...

Everton ... you never shone so brightly.

His technical ability is very very good , his calmness also stands out a mile in this team, I would however still be looking to sell him purely to make money and turn FFP profit , same as gray, Townsend , DCL, davies etc

Certainly wouldnt be looking to sell him.

We paid £42mil for the Icelandic version and this kid shower more in 45mins than ive seen from Dele-lite.

Hopefully this is his springboard
