2021/22 Dele Alli

His head and fitness hasn't been in the game for a couple of years now. I really don't think he is interested anymore
But he’s just come back from his holiday in ‘the shape of his life’.
If we’re putting out all this spin then clearly he and Frank have plans for this season and he’s ready to start playing full time again. If he wasn’t interested, I don’t see why Lampard (one of the hardest working pros in his time) would have wanted him.

I’m cautiously optimistic with Dele. Ultimately it remains to be seen but I think that Palace match changed him a bit and lit a fire. I’m not sure he’s felt that kind of love and togetherness in a long time. By all accounts he’s an emotional guy and needs a certain managerial style. I still think he has something to prove and I think Lampard is the just the kind of coach to coax It out of him.

Where do we line him up at is the biggest question. Ultimately I think he’s a 10 but I also think he’d thrive in a false 9 (which isn’t going to happen here with DCL). Could be perfect as a second striker if we really do wish to play a 352? I also think a Dele - Zinchenko pairing with a deeper lying Doucoure in to clean everything up in a 433 would work

Unless we sign a defensive midfielder I dont know how we play Dele. we surely need to play a 3 man or 5 man midfield to accommodate him, playing him deeper, or out wide would be a massive waste of time.
His spurs heat map from when he was decent says he played on the left of the attack. So Richies old position.
I honestly believe we go a front 3 of him DCL and Gordon

I hope he is. I really hope I'm wrong on this and we end up paying the £40 mil but it's more about his mental attitude. He is still fairly young and his second half v Palace was outstanding but I'm not sure it's a gamble worth taking
.

That may be true, as he moved out left, to get more space, away from the CB’s but he’s not a left winger, he’s not gonna beat a man or put a good cross in.
Neither was Richarlison. Lampard said as much.
When Alli played that position he was a quality player.
People ask where he is gonna play? Simple, up top in a 3 or in a 2 behind a central striker
