Player Valuation: £35m
Can all of you (I think it was about 50%) who wanted this player make yourselves known. Are you the same people that want the rat back?

Baffling signing when he doesn’t seem to fit any of Lampard’s systems. He’s a proper 10, always has been and his best form came playing just behind Kane at Spurs. Unless we revert to a 4231 or something that has a centre attacking mid he’s redundant.
Yeah nice storyWeirdly mate I actually think the plan was (maybe still is a 4-2-3-1)
Problem is we need realistically 3 signings minimum to the starting 11 for that (4 if Patterson isn't deemed ready)
I'm guessing something like this would have been what he wanted
Pickford
New RB - Mina/Holgate - Tarkowski - Mykolenko
Gilmour/Winks (Holding) - Gallacher(more box to box)
Gordon - Dele - MGW
DCL
That puts Dele into his best position by miles where he's shown he can produce goals/assists from, Shifts Gordon into his natural best position where his end product should improve too, brings in MGW in his best spot again someone who you'd expect to add a fair few goals/assists and brings in a player comfortable recieving it in Gilmour and Gallacher who would again chip in a decent number of goals/assists from central mid.
Vs the really best teams we could get carved open - but suspect that was kinda the plan. Maybe dropping to a different less attacking midfield v the best teams (especially away from home)
Think it's also why you heard the stuff about wanting players to be comfortable in several formations from Lampard too.
Think of that list they are all obtainable - but it's if we have the ability and money to do those deals (suggestion would be no)
Sad state though as to have a decent squad we'd need in reality to add about 6-7 ...
Back up striker needed (Broja), possibly starting RB, ideally another cb (Cowill), a more defensive mid (Dendocker etc)
Need to spend about 200m to actually turn this into a good side
Jesus ChristAnother example of really poor decision making and deal making by the club.
We were in a tight spot last January, could see why you might take a gamble on him for the second half of the season to see if he could help us stay up - although o wouldn’t have personally.
End of the season we take stock, didn’t do enough and off you go back to spurs. We then have his place and huge wages freed up to bring in someone who will start for us and contribute more.
Instead, we can’t send him back, we’ve committed ourselves to his huge wages, hey taking up a place in the squad and we’re going to incur a transfer fee we can Ill afford to pay if we play him - and we’ll have to play him because there’s no one else.
Just pissing money up the wall on Hail Mary gambles.

The post you're replying to didn't say otherwise

I know. It was a bad decision - it should have been a loan or nothing.Jesus Christ

Surely there must be some sort of break clause in the loan so we can send him back?
We had already loaned El Ghazi (!!!!!!!) and VDB, so a loan wasn't an optionI know. It was a bad decision - it should have been a loan or nothing.
You didn't really read or understand his whole post did you? ?Jesus Christ
