Yes, he’s making the statement that we should have loaned him.You didn't really read or understand his whole post did you? ?
So why did you need to state yet again that we bought him, if you understood the posters comments? Confused.Yes, he’s making the statement that we should have loaned him.
The difference being when Barkley plays he has about 100 times more touches and involvement in the game than Dele. This lad was some player a few years ago
Its unbelievable how his career has completely tailed off
His appetite for the game looks gone once that's gone its over (insert ross barkley)
You could also question why Villa didn’t take him on after the loan and the answer would be he wasn’t good enough. The difference being when Barkley plays he has about 100 times more touches and involvement in the game than Dele.
You’d question why he is happy sitting on a bench but definitely more influential when he gets minutes.
Shall we put them in re-education camps ? Or just straight to the murder pits ?Can all of you (I think it was about 50%) who wanted this player make yourselves known. Are you the same people that want the rat back?
If He hits a high % of his early spurs form - it'll be where ever he wantsI still do wonder what we're considering his best position to be...
I don’t understand why you and some others are getting so adamant this gamble has already failed? Can all of you (I think it was about 50%) who wanted this player make yourselves known. Are you the same people that want the rat back?

Firstly, it’s a gamble where we don’t pay spurs any money for him unless we play him for 20 games and I don’t think he even had ten appearances last season so plenty of room there.
So that means we bought one of the premier leagues best players a few years ago for free unless we like him enough to play him 20+ times, only having to pay his wage.
Secondly we knew he was unfit last season which was why Frank didn’t rely on him. I thought he looked decent but unfit when he came on so I’m interested to see how he gets on next season as apparently he’s back at peak fitness.
Finally, all reports lead to Dele not being a player who works his arse off in training or friendlies so why are people getting their knickers in a twist about a few meaningless games in America? All that matters is fitness and game time right now and I’m glad he’s getting both.
If he’s crap and does nothing against Chelsea in a couple weeks I’m ready to start to doubt. After that game though we’ve got Villa, Forest, Brentford and Leeds and a player of Dele’s quality should be putting teams like that to the sword.
Time will tell, but calling people out as idiots already for backing the gamble is a bit stupid.

True, forgot that. Then we shouldn’t have done the deal at all. What he contributed was negligible. Far too risky, what was the likelihood he’d become the Alli of 2017/18? Just when we were getting some underperforming high earners off the books as their contracts ended, we add him.We had already loaned El Ghazi (!!!!!!!) and VDB, so a loan wasn't an option
It is in effect, a buy as he plays deal, he was Rondonly unfit last season and looks trim now. I'll give him the first third to half of next season before judging him. If hewasnt that arsed about it, he wouldn't have made the effort to get trim, he has so lets see what we get out of him. I'd have a half fit Dele than a fully fit Barkley.I don’t understand why you and some others are getting so adamant this gamble has already failed?

My Spurs supporting pals say the same. Never the same after the hamstring injuries - for whatever reason. We didn’t get the Alli of 2017/18, wild optimism to hope he’ll be that player again or even close for us.Bless you. I will happily eat humble pie if I am wrong. My Dad for his sins is a Spurs fan. The theory with Dele is that he never recovered from a series of hamstring injuries 3 years ago. He was never the quickest but he lost a yard of pace. Then when he realised he could not be what he was his mentality suffered
