2021/22 Dele Alli

Come on Jack rodwell. He had about a good 12 months . Dele had 3/4 years scoring a lot of goals and assists, England regular.

So are DCL and Richarlison on a downward trajectory?
Not sure quite how you are linking my comments to DCL and Richarlison, both of whom are starters when fit? When they go it will be for seven figures, to teams playing in Europe not to a team batting to stay in the Prem.
Rodwell made 86 appearances for us, don’t know which 12 months it was we played in every competion in European football to achieve that many appearances.
He was called up to England 3 times between 2011 and 2013….. so presumably his good 12 months was 2011 and he got call ups over the next 2 years off the back of that?
Not to mention some actually paid £12 -16m for him rather than giving him away to get him off the wages.

It also says he broke through as a teenager at Spurs in 2019…I know being employed by Everton accelerates the ageing process but how’s he 25 now If he was a teenager 3 years ago? The hacks literally make up inches to fill their piece of the rag with, at least the daily sport was obvious to its nonsense
I especially liked their “red London Bus found on Moon” story

He made 86 appearances over 5 years only 2 years making over 20. And was sold by city at a loss after something like 16 games in 2yrs.

Dele was considered one of the best young attacking midfielders in the world for 2/3 yrs. yes he’s had a tough couple of years. But him and rodwell are not even comparable. And Richarlison had gone 13 goals 13 goals 7 goals 4 goals. So I’d say that’s a downward trajectory.

Dele while being an attacking midfielder, has a better goals per game record than DCL. Over a similar amount of games and they’re a similar age. DCL has had a disruptive season but has one goal from open play. And finished last season poorly, but our fans think we should be getting 60/70mil. But Dele on a free is the worst buy in history

Hope he comes good, but there is a reason Spurs wanted to sell him - let's not be naive.
On 31 July 2012, Chelsea announced that De Bruyne was to join Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on a season-long loan deal.
On the transfer deadline day, 2 February 2015, Chelsea confirmed that Salah would join Italian club Fiorentina on an 18-month loan until the end of the 2015–16 season.
On the final day of the summer 2013 transfer window, Lukaku joined Everton on a season-long loan.

All im saying is, give Delle a chance before you write him off.

His career has been in decline for a while now, so the odds do not favour us, but lets at least try give the lad a chance to prove himself, now granted he needs to get on the pitch first, but I bet if hes given as many chances as "Flash", he would have people thinking differently.

I mean I find it highly unlikely that someone would recreationally take zoplicone as a party drug unless they are a bit of an idiot.

It's a pretty clean sleeper drug with no "fun" side effects, further to that it's slightly strange because when you take it you have to close your eyes and let yourself sleep, if you try to fight it it's not hard to stay awake and then you lose the efficacy, it's not like it will keep you awake and sedated.

The only use for it recreationally as far as I can see is to sleep after using coke.
Its a downer after having taken other things (cocaine) before!

It gets the the stage were he needs to be given a go, if he has not being getting played due to desire then im sure it cant be any different to the others come match day, what we do know is dele has a goal and an assist in him at the very least. we need some goals in this team going forward.

If we're gonna play him, we need to play him in his best position which is in the 10 behind the forward.

I'd quite like to see:
DCL
Gordon - Alli - Richarlison

Mate, if you think him and Richarlison or DCL are going in the same direction / trajectory then we’ll just have to agree to disagree.

Which is more plausible...
Except that would show up in tests.

People lose form for all sorts of reasons, he has fallen out of favour at spurs and they wanted to shift him because he wasn't playing and was costing them money.

If only there was an instance of us having a player we no longer wanted after falling out of favour, when 1 or more manager changes alter the system and have a different opinion on said player, who was on big money and hampering our ability to spend, so we had to basically give them away.

Fortunately, we are extremely well run in this particular area, so it's not likely to happen.
