Spurs are paying 50% of it, we have to pay 25% of our own fee then 10% of Spurs 50% to assist with the loan of our loan and then his current club are paying 25% of his wage with MK Dons paying 2% of that 25%

One more game in Turkey and we owe Spurs £50m.

I think you'll find it's we owe Spurs 50 turkeys if he plays one more game which should help with our end-of-year financials, although I might have to check with maccaven- I mean, Dianne Abbott over there... ?

If some said now that Bellingham is going to have a bad patch for the next couple of seasons but we can loan him, risk free, in two years with an option to buy… everyone here is saying it’s worth the risk.
That’s the situation we were in dele was a top level international and champions league player. It turned on its head quickly but we thought he might refund his form here and prove a bargain.
Was worth the punt, but like most punts it never came off

Bellingham hasn't had 2 or 3 seasons where his form has fallen off a cliff though

You really believe that the decision to sign off on a transfer lies with someone other than the manager?

Uncle Harry said on tv that he advised Frank to take a chance on Deli; the other two signings were inexplicable but bought by Frank.
What's funny is people blame Rafael for Rondon and Sam for Tosun but turn a blind eye to managers they like buying under performing players.

Yup. But im saying dele was deemed in the same bracket of player 3 seasons ago.
We hoped it was a blip. Clearly wasn’t. Worth the risk. Never came off

I don't remember there being anywhere near the hype to be honest. He was rated for sure but not like the media fest over Bellingham.

We haven't loaned Alli and it wasn't risk free though? I can understand why they signed Alli, it's not unfathomable, but I wouldn't necessarily say it was 'worth' it.

I could see the logic of the signing and we did well to structure it as low risk.

What I don’t understand is why we brought in two number 10’s and then didn’t play a single game with a formation that included a number 10.

There was an interesting thread before running on twitter from the Spurs angle which suggests that Dele's issues are all down to him. Got too sidetracked by the London thing and started messing about in training and it all went downhill from there and people (managers and teammates) got fed up with him eventually.

Doubt the lad is really bothered about being disliked and/or booed whether it's by Spurs fans, us or some Turks. He's made more money already than he or his immediate family will ever need, he's won at life really. Just a shame he's never wanted to push on for more because he looked capable of big things. Always a shame when a talented player goes this way but not everyone has the same motivations or goals in life, and it's hard to tell them that they're wrong when you don't know their full story.

We won't ever pay Spurs any of that instalment money, he'll come back at the end of the season and be parmed off to Saudi Arabia or MLS.
