Maybe a bit of vicous circle with him. Frank's not seeing enough from him during the week to pick him but maybe he needs a start to give him the confidence kick to start to show more.

With Dom out we do not have a better player than dele for causing problems in the opposition box.

I want to give him a chance, but not if it comes at the price of £40 million quid.

He should definitely be leading the line. The more he’s not used the more I feel it’s something to do with clauses in the Spurs deal. As has previously been said could he have been any worse than the front 3 today?

I repeat...

If the manager does not want to play him in these circumstances with our current non existent attacking options, then he is never going to play. Move him on and get someone the manager does want instead. This is never going to work.

Repeat all you want, it doesn’t mean we’ll all agree.

I would think we’ve not started Dele the last two games because Frank cares more about ensuring we’re solid at the back and feels he won’t put in a shift the same way Gordon does which is true. I also think we’ve looked more of a threat from his clever movement both times he’s come on.

Well if that's how the manager feels then he will never pick him. So my point would stand in that case.

Personally think he looks way off the pace still.

No, I think it’s horses for courses and not ‘if he hasn’t played these two he’ll never start’.

I think Chelsea was a game Lampard saw as a very good team where we needed to be solid and Villa was the first away game where we’ve won only once away in half a season.

I would like to think Forest is viewed differently and as a game where we should be on the front foot and Dele is started.

Yet another utterly baffling transfer, in a long list of joke signings.

The lad has been finished as a Prem player for 2-3 years now, so of course, naturally EFC enters the chat for a player who is a natural 10/shadow striker for a team that does not play with a 10/shadow striker.

I don't know what's more insane: we're soon to pay our first of potentially four £10m payments to Spurs for a lad we give a 10 minute run out to here and there, or we're paying him £100k a week not to play to "save ourselves money" on a player we didn't need, have no use for and will probably be stuck with for 2 more years.

Might as well play him from the start and hope he gets a goal or two or creates something. Minutes here and there is pointless, but clearly the manager doesn't fancy him and clearly Dele is happy just to coast along not really needing or wanting to play every week.
