Surely Dyche and his death drills will take one look in preseason and say not a chance.

He is obviously talented, but massively lost his way, if he's a awful trainer - he can't apply himself.

95% certain he will be punted, hopefully this is the club trying the whole "oooh he is ready to be a footballer again" tact to try and drum up interest

Hopefully a Saudi club will come in and offer him insane wages to play in their glorified pub league.
Interestingly my mate, who's a season ticket holder at Chelsea has a gut feeling that Potch might bring him in. Given that he was the one manager to get the best from him.

We should be getting in touch with every Saudi club to try and get him out of the door. We can maybe, just about, promote him as a “name” to them, and I’m sure they’re not arsed he’s virtually retired about 3/4 seasons ago. And he will get paid a fat lot to do nothing, which seems his raison d’etre.

He is (was) a very niche player in what he’s good at. If he’s not bringing goals to the table, then I don’t see the point in him.

Spot on, and yet this was evident when we signed him.

I still think there's a chance.
I think the Turkish debacle and humiliation plus his age will knock some sense in to him.
He'll know it's his last chance to play in the PL.
He'll have pre season and August to show something and if he doesn't, send him out on loan till his contract is up.
We haven't paid a fortune for him yet.
And there's no way we will unless he shows signs that he's a 10m player (not a 50m player)
