But Spurs WOULDN’T be being charitable.
Everton simply aren’t in a financial situation currently where they can gamble £10m on Dele coming good with only 7 games of leeway, however much we might want. So Spurs won’t be getting their £10m. He’ll either go on loan or won’t play.
Extending the clause to 17 games gives enough leeway for us to give him a go, and see if he looks like turning it round here, which would see Spurs getting their £10m, with the added bonus that if it doesn’t work out and we sell for money in January, they get a slice.
You seem to be seeing it as Spurs giving up £10m, when it’s actually increasing their chances of getting some money.
If Dyche plays him reckon he has earnt it by putting in the hard graft. Dyche does not strike me big on sentiment when it comes to playing in the match day squad.IF Alli says he's ready and IF Dyche wants him....we could have a player on our hands that it maybe worth the cost.
It's not bad press if it is in his best interests.our team cannot afford more bad press, we cannot sell him and not look like assholes
He has to earn it (and I hope he does).
We shall see. Everton has been a theatrical production for far too long. I hope the guy is free from any demons and gets back to being a real footballer, but this stuff tends to take way more time for a full recovery. We can’t afford to give minutes if he still isn’t there.Sure, and I reckon he will. The thing(s) that saw his form fall of a cliff are being treated and addressed.
I do think Dyche is the right kind of guy. He is a very psychological manager so would make sense for him to maybe turn his life around under him. We shall wait and seePowerful interview. I really hope it works out for him. Proud of our club for the support we've given him. He has a great opportunity with Sean Dyche in his corner.
He absolutely could’ve said whatever he wanted. If we’d been anything less than supportive he could’ve said whatever he wanted to try and drum up interest from another club and say ‘it’s not my fault I just want to play now come and get me’, he’d get his contracts worth regardless. He obviously wasn't going to say anything otherwise. But he did sound fairly positive towards Everton and then later on with Dyche - that can only be a good thing for all involved...
Think he will get the structure and humanity he hinted at under Dyche regime. Suppose it will come down to what's best for Everton as Dyche sees it.Powerful interview. I really hope it works out for him. Proud of our club for the support we've given him. He has a great opportunity with Sean Dyche in his corner.
People worried about the financial side of this , I'm not but I understand why they are.
There's 3 games before the window closes , I think we should use them if he shows up well in training to earn a spot.
We'd have a better idea to keep him on playing or find a club for him.
I think the lad deserves that chance tbh.
