Not so sure mate, he clearly does'nt want to play for us anymore. The report the other day that stated Benitez is trying to convince him to come back after the Olympics would suggest he would prefer to move on and tbh he is a moody little sod at the best of times. This season is going to be awkward enough without Richy stomping about the place with a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp causing issues in the squad.

It's fine. I think it can actually be viable if it also involved us being a strong pressing team. But we won't be. It also is a woefully incompatible system with our midfielders.

His age doesn't matter mate. What matters is that Crystal Palace, I'll repeat that, Crystal Palace let his contract run down.

They didn't think he was good enough for a squad player

We need a new midfielder. We'll try and get one but we need to sell at least two of the players we currently have for that position don't we.

no i completely agree its an odd signing to have Fullbacks and Wingers who cross the ball a lot. How many crosses are we gonna do a game? 100? just seems like a cheap signing cuz Moshiri is so afraid of FFP.

He's only better than Iwobi if you're trying to make Iwobi play like Carlo tried to make Iwobi play. A proper passing system and Iwobi would be far better.

That said I doubt we looking to be a passing team given the rest of the squad so yeah Townsend is probably a better fit.

Obviously he's not a signing to set the pulse racing, but let's face it... We finished tenth last season.

cos they knew they were changing managers. Roy would have renewed.

If he goes (no on will pay money for him), we will replace him. Gray is not his replacement
