But it’s all about competition for places. Gray like all the other forward players will have to produce their best to stay on the pitch. For instance Gomes was decent against Brentford and kept VDB out of the team at Newcastle. However he was poor there and was rightly replaced today.

It’s a squad game, and the number of forwards allow rotation and rest.

I think with lampard new here it’s a clean slate for everyone. And like he said he puts a big emphasis on training.

In a 442 then he’s got more of a chance to be in every week. In a 4231 or 433, then I think there’s one place up for Grabs. As Richarlison will always be in for me. But in the end it will come down to lampard, I think most of us were shocked iwobi started today

Frank said he was close but not quite ready for today, so likely back either for City or Boreham Wood

He's great but last week we were better without him in the team. Could have used him today though.

He replaces whoever was massively crap today, so any one of Iwobi, Gordon, Richarlison or DCL makes way as far as I'm concerned
