A quick google tells me he’s played seven league games since mid Dec, one of which was coming on with 15 mins to go against City so not exactly a huge barren spell.

Seems to me more like a pace merchant struggling for that final bit of fitness that gives them their X factor - fingers crossed it returns against West Ham.
7 games without a goal or assist isn't great. Going back further, 2 goal involvements in his last 13 games. Like I said, it's not terrible and people shouldn't be going in on him because he's arguably been our player of the year but it's kind of understandable that people aren't currently enamored with him because that start to the season feels like a long long time ago now, and his recent performances have been disappointed.

One of the few players we have bought in (alongside Holgate) we could sell and make a decent profit on.

Yeah, if we could bring in £15mil for him and replace him with someone like Johnson from Forest that could be decent business.

Need a total recycle of players to suit Lampard now.

Still doesn't look fully fit.

Make no mistake though, he's been the only shining light out of the Bentiez epic failure experiment
If he's a shining light, I can only surmise that it is a flickering candle that's burned down to the wick. Or an oil lamp that's run out of oil.

He had a few good moments as the Senor was riding high, but when he fell off his horse it was largely because the likes of Gray started to sputter out.

We need to recycle the high earners with less time left on the contract, we have players offering us nothing we can get more money for more, no way should we sell one of our best players this season.

We all know what the club should do, easier said than done. Long term he’s not a starter imo, he just was a cheap stop gap.

I doubt he goes anywhere this summer. With potentially Richarlison going, maybe iwobi to,
Townsend’s Everton career over, it doesn’t leave us with that many options and just adds to the busy summer it will be. Unless someone comes in and offers crazy money

Has Gray been one of our 'better' players under Lampard?

Is he more suited to a counter attacking style than playing in a front foot high pressing attacking team?

From what ive seen, hes someone that thrives when he has space around and in front of him...

...i may be wrong but he doesnt look too keen on pressing or playing in tight spaces. Not to mention that he doesnt fancy tracking back which is leaving our left back exposed.

In an ideal world next season we keep him as a sub for Gordon. But if an offer comes in that is circa £20mil Id take the money and have Dobbin as a rotation option for Gordon down the right.

On the left if we are stuck with Iwobi then he can act as backup to Richarlison. If one or both are sold then it adds to the Gray pot to spread around the team.
