I thought Gordon was poor yesterday, wasting three or four free kicks, lost possession too often, gave two stupid fouls away and after about sixty five minutes he was knackered, Chelsea players were just going past him like he wasn’t there, he passed the ball carelessly to put Chelsea in on goal near the end and gave the ball away again at the other end back heeling it to a Chelsea player.
It’s Anthony’s first full season in the squad and has done very well but he has played every minute nearly since Lampard came and with injuries to our depleted squad Frank hasn’t been able to give Gordon the rest and break he obviously needs either coming off the bench or being subbed after sixty minutes, he is going to be a very good player for us, playing continuously at the moment is asking too much of a young player and physically I think he is suffering from it now. Maybe if DCL plays soon Lampard can play Richie on the wing and bring Anthony on as a sub.
