In the medium term I hope he can deliver at a level that makes it look like we paid 25m for him. It's probably unrealistic given his career to date to expect he'll turn in MOTM performances regularly.

I must say he has been a huge breath of fresh air to date though. It's getting enough consistency in his game after the initial rush of 8 games where he is super hyped to impress. That's the challenge for him.

He was only 24 when he left your club so don't think it's really fair to know how it will go for us

Example Iheanacho hadn't done anything for your club until the start of this year

Circumstance can make a player and the change of club and manager is the biggest 1 possible
There is always a chance, but Iheanacho had always been a goal scorer.

He’s said the right things so far, seems he’s realised he was a bit of a t*** at Leicester with his attitude, that’s a good start.

Let’s see how it goes, he had a few good games here and he started well in Germany… then nothing.

But I stick by what I said when he signed, and that’s why I wouldn’t be getting too excited just yet.

But… also like I said, for the money it was a bit of a no brainier really. You can’t buy decent league two player for that money now. So even if he is inconsistent, you’ll get your money’s worth.

Mate, all I'm saying is the @TheBigIguana is gonna get ya. Be afraid. Very afraid.

Two games in was always most likely to be best of the current transfer in. Still early and long way to go! But no getting away from impact so far.

Lads, I genuinely hope Demarai makes the grade at Everton, there are the raw materials of a fine player in there. But, history suggests that he will flatter to deceive. All the best for the season, I hope to see the best club on Merseyside just behind us near the top.
Charmer!

I also think you have to factor in a couple of additional things. Firstly we have watched a crocked Bolasie, Walcott, Lennon, Sandro, Iwobi fill the wide positions pretty badly. You have had the likes of Madisson, Barnes etc doing so. You are used to watching better players.

Secondly we just had no pace in the side really. So even though he is inconsistent the things he is consistently quite good at are the things we have missed.

I don't think anyone would say he is good enough for where Leicester are, but that's still a fair bit beyond Everton. He has started very well though and you can only hope he realises the opportunity he let slip at Leicester and will want to make amends here. He won't be a world beater but I think he can be quite an effective footballer. I will repeat what I said at the time really, we have paid 1.5m for a player of a similar profile and ability level to Iwobi, who we paid 30m for. While I hope Iwobi comes good, it's easy to see who the better buy was.
