Watching him stroll into Newcastle surrounded by all his agents reminded me of Ravenelli when he rocked up at Goodison. Just made me think "tit". Think he a good striker but at 70k a week with uninsurable glass knees not worth the risk.

It hasn't actually been confirmed yet he's signed for the toon. You may still get your way.
 

50k a week is 13 mill over 5 seasons - 2 mill signing on fee/agent snizz - so would cost us 15 mill over 5 years.

Newcastle give him 75 k a week which is touching 20 mill over 5 years a signing on fee of 2 mill - so all in all will cost them 22mill + - what does that do to the Carroll money.

All for Demba Ba - a good player not a great player - dodged a bullit here.

Consider Ba. At £75k a week

(£2million agents and 3years x 4million contract to player)

That's £12 MILLION if Ba had of gotten injured and his knees.


(£9million if he'd of gone for our wage demand)

Imagine the outrage if that of happened. Everton lose £9million. Big hit to us.


I think Everton may well of gone higher. Except there's other things in play. A TRADEOFF. Our budgets, insurance, his agents etc.

Let Newcastle take the risk I say.

Don't make out we dodged a expensive bullet with this one. It was a good deal that came about with him and by the sounds of it he'd be in an Everton shirt if the barcodes hadn't offered him a stupid wage we couldn't match.
