On a tangent, but not at all my view. Sums up everything that's right with how to support your football club. They have/had some delusional fans; do we not? Does any team not? Naturally, the press love to characterise them as THE GEORDIE NATION, a phrase the fans never gave themselves, that was Shepherd.
Their owner, I agree, is not a similarly positive contribution to football.

ferdinand , shearer , cole , asprilla , ginola , ketsbaia , watson , gillespie , beardsley , barnes , barton , batty , hislop , howey ........ i cant think of any more .(actually , im not even sure this is all the same squad .. but in that period they had a good team)

to be fair when they came to inter in the champions a few years back the fans were by some way the best ive seen. tons of them. very loud, lots of fun and no trouble. far better than arsenal, man u, spurs and.. wales.

I hope we don't lose out on this transfer, every single year we seem to be linked with player along with Newcastle, let's hope they don't steal them like they used to.

Who cares - we have half the financial muscle of every other club in the league, so it could be Norwich and we'd be at a disadvantage.
Our only hope is that he has a brain and prefers something a bit extra on top of the money - as in a team with a bit of stature and consistency.
