I don't see us signing him at the end of the loan tbh.

He looked useful when he came on. But I think it's more if a sign of how weak we are in that department that people are pinning hopes on him being anything more than what he has shown... A half decent option off the bench.

Anichibe is a far better player in reality. Think that says it all

This.

However, if our long term striking solution is Stracqualursi and Anichebe then we're fooked.

I would agree with that long term mate.

I often wonder, why we do well in the second half of the season, i think our general fitness levels as a team are good, or we usually have a few coming back from injury, as other teams players begin to flag with fatiuqe, we generally tend to tip the margins of a game with a bit of fitness, work ethic, freshness and hunger.

Nah, it's management mate. I don't want to get on the subject of Moyes in every thread, but it's clear to me that the players perform when the pressure is off, which is when the season is already dead and buried by January - little danger of relegation, no chance of the Champions League.

So we go on a run. It's the same players as you say, so the reason has to be mental.

I do heart The Straq tbh. He's shown some neat touches whenever I've seen him. Although he did give away about 10 free kicks inside a minute yesterday. Also he is proper, proper minging.

Which in a way is systemic mate, what i mean by that mate is because the players know their is no dosh and a thread bare squad they are pretty much going to play every game, there is no real compitition or pressure for places - you could say the level of performances for certain players has dipped hugely from what we know they could do at their peak. Your right though there is a malaise but for me its more down to complacency and a lack of freshness, options or varience in the squad - amoung the players, perhaps the manager needs to utilise the players in the positions and system that will give us the best chance of getting a result. For me the blame lies squarely at the lack of support the team/manager receive from the board.

realy good win yesterday

as moyes put on victor Anichebe and denis stacqualursi Anichebe scored in the 87th min
