Dont think he plays too often with wide players so the full backs push forward and act as the width (although I think he'll look at the squad first before deciding what way to play).

Actually looking forward to seeing what he does here. Ancelotti's tactics towards the end of the season added to the empty stadiums/fake crowd noise burnt me out so just excited to see what potential changes he does to the side in addition to hopefully some fast pacey signings.

At Valencia, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Napoli he played almost exclusively a 4231, at Newcastle he switched from that to a 343/541

Not sure what he did at Inter or in China

He might have tried tbf, but PSV would have been insane to let him go before the Euros, where he was likely to start for one of the better sides in the tournament

If he rates him he should have got it sorted up last summer, when we needed a RB nearly as much as now

I’m sure you are right with this.

Buying and selling requires willing selling and buying clubs and a player willing to make the move.

Unless we are playing with wing backs he is no loss.

As a conventional right back he gets found out defensively. As a wing back with licence to go forward he is very good.

I wonder if this means that Benitez will go for Hysaj a free agent who he had at Napoli.
