He has the physical attributes to do so. Why doubt him.

Being strong and fast doesn't automatically mean you're good at defending (see: Zouma).

They play back 4 but I haven't seen him for them in like 2-3 years and that league is God awful.

We don't have a single decent winger at the club so unless we buy one we're going to struggle with any back 4 formation.

Dumfries looks more of a winger than a full back. That is why even Aarons is being targeted.

Well we don't know Benitez's formation yet but all I'm saying is the vast majority on here have only seen him in the Euros where he basically played as a right winger. Would have been nice to see if he could defend as well which he must do in the PL.

…from what I saw, he didn’t play as a RW. I recall one fantastic last ditch block to stop a certain goal. He gets up the pitch into threatening positions in that Dutch set-up but I imagine he’ll be more conventional for us.

I saw a few clips playing for his club & he does like to get forward if the ball is on the other flank.

Same here. Stopped when Lozano left. But presumably he's playing well enough in a back 4 to be picked for the National team

They don't have much competition I guess. Not saying he's bad just can he do it in a 4 against PL opponents not Dutch farmers.
