Derby build up thread

I'd love a kopite to give me a reason to smash a brick in their face, talk about looking a gift-horse in the mouth.

Hate to say it, but I can see the rivalry and hatred growing deeper and deeper to the point where it could get violent. Last thing I want it to be like but it is really starting to get nasty.

Are you a woman?

To be fair it might not be the old firm derby but it's certainly not the friendly derby where you had both sets of fans chanting Merseyside either.

Anyway hope to God we smash them, 15 years of frustration and heartbreak to be made up for on Tuesday

Coleman Jags Alcaraz Baines
McCarthy Barry

Sorry for any offence but I'd react the same way to anyone (kopite or not) who threatened my life over the internet.

I'm working in Glasgow next week anybody know of a blue friendly pub to watch it in I'm staying near city centre if anyone can help

The rules of the forum are we can't use violent terms etc so I've had to type a civilised comment.

Although, I would do what you're thinking.

Win lose or draw we are better than them in every single way on and off the pitch.

And always will be.

The media is a powerful thing, especially for manipulation. For example, the reported "tight hamstring" for Jags today. Can anybody say with 100% certainty that its genuine? Because I'm thinking that Heitinga on at half time was always happening.

While Barkley is genuinely injured, the prognosis could of easily been sensationalised with the club knowing the derby was approaching. Martinez has told the media Deulefou is "progressing well" and that Traore's "fitness will be assessed", both could be 100% ready hypothetically.

The only injury we currently have which we can be certain is as serious as reported is Oviedo's, because well, we all saw his leg break.

Its not ethical being dishonest to supporters over injuries but if it pays off who is going to question it?

Yeah good point. We don't know exactly what stage the likes of Pienaar, Barkley and Coleman are in their recoveries but if it mean keeping the sh1te guessing as to our team it is worth it, even if none of them start and we end up disappointed.

"Liverpool have been very good this season, especially at home. They have found a formula to beat teams at Anfield, whether from dead-ball situations or the brilliance of Luis Suárez.”

Roberto has them figured out...

it really is all their season has been, defending against a serial cheat with refs somehow not knowing what he is is another thing though. we conceded 3 from set-pieces at goodison, we just need to be more aware and not give away any stupid free kicks in our 3rd - that's the only way gerrard gets into a game these days.

i think if we're being totally honest here it's suarez and sturridge vs everton. the 9 behind them two are rank average. sterling's had a good season, but fails against good defenders.

if i have a choice of the two who i'd want to play i'd rather barkley over coleman, i have way more confidence in stones than osman. mind you, it should be naismith over him.

i see no problem in it. he's not telling us as the fans, he's telling journos. he said we'd buy mcgeady in the summer so take anything he says to the media with a pinch of salt.

I see both Barkley and pienaar being back for the derby tbh. Jags and distin will be fine, Coleman I think will miss it, as will Deleufoe and the obvious injured players.

Is what i think it will be, IF Barkley isnt fit enough, then Naismith comes in after his brace. Still a very good team. As mentioned by Jack, its Suarez & Sturridge vs Everton. We keep them quiet we'll win.
