Dermot Gallagher Ref Watch.

The player who made the foul was already booked. VAR can only look at red card offences, so once they decided it wasn't a red, they couldn't go back and give him a second yellow. Crazy!!
I understand that just won why Oliver didn’t give him a second yellow someone mentioned double jeopardy yesterday which I don’t understand , if it was a penalty it Was a second yellow did Oliver bottle it ?

There is no double jeopardy for yellow cards. In fact double jeopardy says it should be a yellow card, rather than a red.

I don't think it was a red card, but it's as obvious a yellow as you'll see. A cynical foul with a player in a good attacking position - that's a booking all day.

The referee didn't give the yellow because he he's a very poor referee and he knew the lad was already on a card.

Corrupt, the whole greasy stinking set up.

If the on field ref has the final say then what is the point of bloody var - they have to be telling Oliver to go the monitor and take another look at the challenge on Richy, which is a clear foul, then the red card doesn’t happen and we have a pen. I was dumbstruck that he never went to the monitor and rescinded the red.

Then the second yellow debate is a joke as well - bech should have walked for two yellows - the award of the penalty isn’t enough there.

Old dermot toeing the party line to keep the gravy train rolling for himself and his bent mates. The presenter was looking at him like he was on crack, and did his best to get an honest answer out of him.

Var continues to highlight even further the corruption and bias from the officials imo - that’s the only good thing to come out of it, but the league and pmgol simply have to get it fixed and use is properly and fairly very soon.

If you think it's bad now, just watch the last couple of games involving the top two. There will be at least one contentious VAR call in one of their ties that will result in the lovables getting the title. If a further such decision goes against us too, well that's by the by.

If Oliver wasn't looking at the shirt pull then that is what VAR is there for, to check and ensure the correct decision, not to just agree with the ass wipe.

Whole thing is an embarrassing shambles and we have been on the receiving end of it the entire season.

To correct decisions that everyone unanimously agrees are obviously wrong.

Not all fouls are yellow cards and no matter what the rules say, a certain foul outside the area is not always a foul inside the area because of the threshold it must meet to be worthy of a penalty and likely a goal. The way VAR currently works is to give referees a second look at obvious errors. I can not recall one time where a referee went to the touchline to review the video and stuck with his original decision.

I think they could change the rules for VAR next season, as they changed the offside rules from last season, to review more things and allow the on field referees to stick with their original decisions.

We are a thorn in their corrupt sides and they would just live to see us out of the PL. It is like the English soccer top Division has been occupied now for years by an enemy invader.

Collaborate, keep your head down and take your Sky money you will be left alone to wallow in mediocrity.

Speak out against the officials for clear wrongs then you will pay the consequences. I am now convinced that we are not going to survive.

He did you can kick someone in the penalty area accidentally it does mean a oen can be given.
But if you play for Everton and accidentally run behind someone you get sent off
