Okay. Maybe you can tell us more about the second Event. I hear you’re going to have people stuck to their sofas.

Yes. The second show is a piece of media which will be played to the viewing nation, that will have the effect of rendering them immobile. Not all of them, but it will basically stick a lot of people to their seats. It’s safe, it won’t work on everybody, but it’s applying what I do one on one with people on stage and turning it into a piece of technology that can then be broadcast – and it has never been done before.

My Theory

The camera was hand held rather than stationary, this way the camera was shaking ever so slightly making it look like he was moving later on.

Derren Brown, whilst the numbers are being called out actually stands unnaturally still (watch the video again and you will notice) the position he stands in would be ever so hard to stand still in. Once the bonus ball (the one he DIDN'T predict) was released, suddenly he make a movement again. Also note he doesn't talk during the draw.

He doesn't predict the balls because of legal reasons, but what is their that says you aren't allowed to tell people what you have predicted to happen? Ok, they can't show so much of the BBC but he definately could have told us his prediction before hand.

His unnaturally still stance makes me wonder if the image of him and the image of the left hand side was actually frozen and he just placed the balls down in order, although not the bonus ball because he had to move at the end to make it look real?

Now admittedly this doesn't seem to me like a Derren Brown trick and i will be interested to see how he explains it, but i wouldn't be surprised if i'm right.

Its got to have something to do with the camera, why not keep the camera still like a professional? Use a stand...pft...he does stand still very unusally, which makes you think part of the video is freezed and switched or something...
