Did Madrid do us a favour?

The ultimate ignorance is the rejection of something you know nothing about …you sure your an Everton fan? I am not calling him a messiah, I commenting on what I see, which is a change in the style of play and players seemingly playing better or with greater confidence…..Southampton nearly beat Man Utd so hardly [Poor language removed] and yesterday could of been so different and we could of been on the end of a 2 nil defeat. So with no respect your wrong.
The reality is one of us wants Everton to be successful and one of us would rather us fail so they can feel vindicated for their small minded, insular view on the world.

Trying to big up beating utter dirge like Saints and Brighton do your already loose argument no favours. We also knocked 4 past Brighton last yr, albeit at home.

Yes.
I liked the idea of Carlo being our Manager, I trusted him and supported him when he was criticised.
But I realise now I was completely wrong!?

Made a more impressive start last yr , how did that end
Last year’s start was never really going to be emulated. But if he has something even close to last seasons start, I think it’s a fair assumption we won’t have anywhere near as bad a second half to the season.

It's far too early to say but the fact that Benitez has established an actual functioning counter attack already, which Ancellotti miserably failed to accomplish, is very encouraging.

I was very uninspired by Carlo towards the end of last season, it was clear to me that he had to take the handbrake off and go for wins (away to Villa springs to mind) but he was just far too negative and his 'play for corners' football became incredibly taxing to watch.

I'm certainly not going to go overboard in praise for Benitez, he's had a kind start fixtures wise and there are much bigger tests to come and Ancellotti had an absolutely horrendous injury crisis to overcome at different stages of the season that I hope Benitez is fortunate enough to avoid.

Promising start though and he deserves credit for that.

It's not so much of a question of whether they did us a favour that we now have Benitez, we've got a long way to go before we can determine his impact. They did do us a massive favour taking Carlo off our books because he was delivering us some of the worst football we've seen and in a season where there were plenty of opportunities to capitalise on teams above us making mistakes we consistently failed to do so and somehow ended up 10th. He would have eventually been removed from the job and it would have cost a small fortune, he was coasting on his reputation but another season of what he was giving us people would have turned (especially with a full Goodison).

I am not trying to ‘big up’ beating Saints and Brighton, what I am saying is our approach tactically, mentally is completely different than last season, As for utter dirge well if that was the case we would of beat both teams twice, yet Southampton beat us and we also drew with Brighton away so hardly whitewash!

As to losing my argument I was only asking if you where an Everton fan? As you seem to be relishing, almost looking forward to putting the boot in, on Everton? The question I am asking you is why? RB is our manager that is a fact, past is irrelevant, you either support the club or you don’t!!!!!
It’s like your argument that we are somehow better than or more deserving than Southampton or Brighton, yes we might have a more successful past and a bigger fan base, but that we are the same, we haven’t won anything for decades, we are all making the numbers up…..

Everton played some of the worst turgid football under Carlo the home form was relegation stuff yet people on here were still blowing smoke up his arse
don't care who his replacement was he had to go
