Interestingly my estate agent contact has just had an enquiry from a Mrs simeone on this property...
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-49544580.html

It's all coming together Neil.

My mate, who's kids go to Merchant Taylor's and is in the board of Governors, told me that, the school had received an enquiry from a Spanish speaking lady, Mrs Simeone, about whether the the school taught Spanish.

Unfortunately they only teach Latin aw it's posh , so I don't think their kids will be going on there.

BREAK OUT THE PLANE TRACKERS :)

Remind me again why our majority owner would not want to get the best manager he can. He thought he was doing so with RK and put his money where his mouth is.

Because the cash he was using was not his own and that's now gone thanks to the clueless first managerial appointment he made. I doubt we have the financial firepower now to buy a manager in a job.

We'll no doubt go for cheap and cheerful until the summer when a better manager is free from compensation packages.

It's not that long ago Dave that I saw a post from you asking what has happened to Nil satis nisi optimum ?

When the board now start to look at getting the best you accuse them of being a joke.

I have no idea at this stage which manager it will be as at different times in the last week I thought it would be Dyche, Dave Unsworth or Allyrdyce , but it seems to me that it is yourself and other who do not believe in the Everton motto... for Everton.

At least Moshiri is looking at the very top and that seems to be his target ...and just maybe sometime he will get us there. At least some of us can now be optimistic that we have an owner that believes he can get the best for the club and can make the club into one of the big players.

I find criticism of that ambition strange.
Ok mate. Continue to believe we're really in for Simeone.

I think Evertonians are naturally dubious about what is happening at the club, but for outsiders looking in the club looks very positive.

There is the prospect of the new ground.
The club promised to spend big under RK and delivered on that promise and if a new manager is appointed and promised more funds it is reasonable to expect that promise will be honoured also.
The way that RK was recruited with a big package to him and a big payoff to Southampton....and finally

The suggestion that Usmanov is somewhere around there as well does no harm either.

Right so, cos the manager cocked up he is a crap chairman? Like those who apponted Moyes at UTD, AVB at Spurs?

Seems a long shot by all means. I'd rather we went for him 'look silly' getting knocked back than not going for him at all.

Not that I believe for a minute that this is anything more than a weird media rumour...

But to be honest there's nothing wrong with aiming for big names, even if it doesn't work out.

Don't ask don't get, right?

Although in this case, this is definitely "don't get".

This "owner" needs punting.

We have a clown calling the shots here. I dont think this club has ever had a more out of touch owner than this feller. And that's some going when you remember we had Peter Johnson.

I have no hesitation now in declaring that feller to be a complete fraud.
Even for you that is the most ridiculous statement yet!

It’s a long shot but not completely out of the question
Money
New stadium
Ambition
If these are all true (big if, I know)
Then why not shoot a little higher than UNSY and big sam

Mate, we had the original Abramovitch in Sir John Moores, we weren't called the Goodison millionaires for nothing! Lots of other clubs fans used to [Poor language removed] us off back in the day for thinking we could just buy anybody we liked!
yeah right mate but you must admit now it's off the scale. Great players in the 70's/80's were paid hundreds/thousands which may have been more than the fella in the factory but it wasn't a fortune, nowadays a large majority of the players in the EPL are multi millionaires. I once knew a bloke who's nephew moved from Southampton to Boro (this was in 1997), he was a squad player just a run of the mill player and he made £900k in one day through loyalty bonuses/signing on fees, (that didn't include wages or sponsorship). Look how many failures both players & managers are rewarded with fortunes. It's a farce. I can't understand why attendances are up at football grounds & why people pay to watch it. No passion left for me too much money. How much money is put into local communities/grass roots football across the country, its a drop in the ocean to say nothing about the lower leagues.

I dont disagree with anything you've said there bud! It is all sport nowadays too, but i was just making the point that we are in a slightly precarious position to be slagging off a club simply because it is bankrolled by a super rich patron. As I said, we started that whole trend off!
