Sharpie said he had heard Simeone had been approached and didnt dismiss anything , in fact he heard he was very impressed with the plans/project. He said it would be hard to prise him out of his contract mid season and maybe could be end of season.
Also he scoffed that Big Sam wasnt interested in the job , said its not what he heard . He heard Sam wanted the job on a long contract ....that wasnt gonna happen.
Didnt sound optomistic for Unsworth either.
