Great Post and well said.

Well my brethren, first week back at work since the end of April, in my new role, with a new manager and team, and it has been like coming out of a long dark miserable, desperate tunnel to emerge into a bright sunny garden.

It is incredible to see the difference in the people with whom I now deal compared with the toxic atmosphere of the past four years.

My Consultant Professor had a session with me on Friday and was delighted with my progress. He expects that I should be able to come off the mild meds that I currently take in the New Year

No anxiety, stress, knots on the stomach. Walking 20k steps most days eating healthily, and most importantly my lovely family are thrilled.

Thanks once again for your kindness and support. It really meant a lot to me.

COYB !

Any thoughts of how to get through this next lock down. Things had started going well for me then I got shingles and now I'm in such a low. To compound it Everton have gone rubbish as well.

I had shingles in Feb they were a nightmare so feel for you there.

Just try treat the lockdown as 5 weekly blocks. Set yourself goals for each week as they arrive be that personal improvement, DIY, health goals, planning future things for when you’re out of lockdown etc. Keep yourself busy but also listen to your head and body when it just wants a day on the sofa with the TV. Talk to loved ones, check in on others which in turn will be them checking in on you. Keep posting in here as well.

Unfortunately no answers to the Everton crap part though.

Thank you some good suggestions there.

How long did it take you to get over the shingles if you don't mind me asking. I've been suffering about 3 weeks so far.

I struggle with the lock down because I'm terminally ill but at the minute no idea how long I've got so I wonder what the point is sometimes.

I had been on a diet and I was down to my target weight and I was working in building muscle but the shingles as lost me my motivation and all I do is binge at moment and I've put weight on which compounds the depression.

The Everton crap part was always to be expected I was just stupid believing it would be any different but I think its been a double kick.
