Back in the day you used to have players, playing for both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland eventually FIFA put a stop to it though.Every day a schoolday. Fascinating documentary on RTE atm. I have learnt loads in this programme and I thought I knew the history

In 82 and 86 we were backing them in the WC. In recent years they are more acceptable. But 93 was toxic. Kids pointing sticks at the ROI bus and pulling imaginary triggers goaded on by a plonker with a UVF flag.Back in the day you used to have players, playing for both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland eventually FIFA put a stop to it though.

But you crack on eh
There was a massive underlying issue which directly related to what happened and why it happened. Said issue will be practically unavoidable to discuss without someone upsetting someone. My best mate is a Glens fan; @laudo9 and @RFCbluenose are two of my favourite posters on here. This was an historical documentary from which I learnt so much despite my years. There is no need for anything to descend
I never realised the impact of the Leinster FA on pulling away from the IFA as the split happened
There is no excuse for what Bingham did that night - that doesn't mean I can't have reasoned debate with fellow humans no matter what their views.
Peter Farrell (my avatar) played for NI and captained the ROI. Eglinton also played for both
