Does it mention the Bingham incident in the documentary? I had wondered why an intelligent man would do such a thing.
He made a complete cock of himself that night.

I still liked the man though. He was decent and a good football man.

We can all make a dick of ourselves from time to time and he shouldnt be judged on one night only.

I never thought he was as big a dick as he came across.

He was playing to the gutter when he needed to stay above it.

Poorly advised.

Great blue was Billy.

I will delete this Bluerover in a sec as you’ve a good thread here with some good lids.
But an Irish thread on here needs this FFS..

*edited.
Feel better now. Carry on lids..

Been away at rugby internationals and it makes no difference what side of the border you come from.

I treat everyone from the other provinces equally regardless of where they are from and what religion.

They are all less Irish than me.

The border is the Shannon.
What county mate? I have Leitrim, Cavan, Tipperary and loads of Dublin blood - so all four provinces. Zero Kilkenny despite living here 32 years

Half my brothers and sisters born in Finglas?
Wrong side of the city for me although Rovers have a strong Finglas SC. The parish church over there is St Canice's - Cill Chainnigh is Church or cell of Canice.

He also went to Scotland so believe it or not the name Kenny comes from him

Rovers is Sligo.

You lot are SHAMS
In the 80s I worked as a barman when in college with two Sligo lads. First time I ever heard that phrase. Later in my last Government Department I had a colleague also a Sligo fan. All lovely lads. Well, we are 1899 and Sligo 1928. My Government colleague reckoned someone was researching the history to see if Sligo was founded earlier - that was 20 years ago!! I think we are the original SRFC

As posted earlier, Sligo fans were excellent at our last game at Milltown in 87. I will never forget that. Sad to see a bit of nastiness creeping in - those blinking flares should be banned and confiscated going into the ground
