Not sure I see the 'no pace' thing, he doesn't look rapid but he looks like he has big strides and has some pace, certainly more than Coleman.

Anyway, I'm still enjoying his cross for Richy's winner at Saints. Doesn't feel like we've seen a cross with whip and urgency like that from the right since Neville crossed for Andy Johnson at Spurs away many years ago!

Doesn’t he have the 3rd highest tackles per game / per minute in the league? Not bad for somebody who can’t defend
I get what they mean though. He doesn't look like a particularly disciplined defender from what I've seen, but he's quick (no idea who people are watching who say he has no pace) and physical, so he's good at getting back at people and at nicking the ball higher up the pitch.

I dont get this either. I imagine/theorise at best, that it's because he takes bigger strides and doesn't look like he's flying. A bit like Yobo was like, not lightning off the mark but big strides and powerful so covered ground.

He looks calm and assured on the ball to me. With added bonus that he can cross the ball!

This is the difference for me. As much as I have rated Coleman in the past, I've never felt he knew what he was going to do with the ball abd sort of spontaneously managed to beat players and get to the byline. Think he'd been exposed a bit since his injury and loss of pace.

I'd sign Sidibe for the fee quoted, sell Coleman and bring back Kenny.

I think Brands kind of hinted at that when he said that he'd promised Kenny a pathway to the first team, if he was good enough to take it, and the loan abroad this year was the next step on that.

Can't see it being easy to sell Coleman. Big wages for a 32 year old right back and he'll likely want at least 3 years because he'll still have 2 left with us.
